britney donates 20k for charity.. oh great she has 100 million on his bank

others spending 30k for children in africa and they've 50 million..

and then they're all collecting money for their charity actions but they've 100x more on the bank then all the normal ppl donate..

Why are making money and doing what you believe is right two different things? One can't possibly do something meaningful, get a message out, and make money all at the same time?

Really, cuz the press are declaring it a documentary. Direct from CNN:

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11" took in a whopping $21.8 million in its first three days, becoming the first documentary ever to debut as Hollywood's top weekend film.

DOCUMENTARY. Strange eh?

Doesnt that add a bit of suspicion to the motive behind it?

A true patriot would have fought for the King instead of the measley 13 upstart colony states.
A true patriot would have shot bullets into the people dumping the kings tea into boston harbour.

A true american will speak out and stand up for whats right, DESPITE the lemmings spouting garbage in all directions because they're told to.

Bush tried to block the congressional 9/11 committee, but when he lost that fight, he still blacked out 28 complete pages believed to have pertained to the Saudi government.

Bush tried to also block the bi-partisan 9/11 committee brought on behalf of the victims of 9/11 and their familes. He lost that fight too and still refused to testify under oath. He wouldnt even go on camera. He wouldnt even speak to them alone. He would only speak to them with Cheney there to help him.

Corruption stinks! Wheres your backbone?

This thread has been declared the no spin. So please take that jibber jabber else where... This thread is not about bush, cheney or anyone else... It is about Moore and why he only made the movie to profit from it.

I'm sure he donates to charity. He seems to live a pretty simple life to me...I don't see him wearing designer labels or flying around in a private jet. His cars are modest enough...and I'm sure he donates plenty to charity, including his own causes.

First it looked like this thread was about why he didnt donate money to familes. Well he does..
Then there was a patriotic issue, well thats clearly BS too as I pointed out.
Now what? That the movie makes money? Only because people go to see it! LOL

I'll retract my Rush statement, however, the cool thing to do seems to be throwing twinkies and fat jokes into the thread - however, I won't bother with that crap. I simply replied to your definition of Documentary stating that the movie fits that definition....and now that you got nothing to retaliate with, you'll come at me with the sheep shit? Way to go slick

He never claimed it was an objective view of the facts.

It's HIS view of the facts. No apologies for it either. Does Fox news apologize for slanted views?

They don't claim to be a documentary either . . . . I highly doubt Moore even considers his crap to be a documentary . . . why the Movie Academy deems fit to give him an award for a documentary is beyond me

AH ok well.. it's been called a documentary by the movie industry itself. They'd have to answer that one. I dont think any of us are more qualified.

And some proceeds do go to victims of 9/11.

Plenty of sig views though

FAHRENHEIT 9/11 EMBRACED BY THOUSANDS ATTENDING BENEFIT SCREENINGS

Friday, June 25th? I am overjoyed to announce that the June 24th pre-premiere screenings held in ten cities across the country, benefiting local charitable organizations, were all extraordinary successes!! Thanks entirely to the volunteers on the ground ALL TEN SHOWS WERE SOLD OUT! While final numbers are not in, suffice to say that a whole lot of money made its way into the coffers of very worthy organizations and thousands of people left the theaters Thursday night determined to tell every friend, neighbor, family member and co-worker, ?You?ve got to see this film!?

We?d like to thank (in no particular order) the following organizations for making this experience the unmitigated success that it was:

Military Families Speak Out
September 11th Families For Peaceful Tomorrows
Veterans For Peace
Hate Free Zone
ACLU of Washington
Peace & Justice Works
Free Speech TV & Deep Dish TV
ACLU of Florida
Progressive Alliance
New York Civil Liberties Union
New York Review of Books
Illinois Coalition Against The Death Penalty
DFL Education Foundation

On behalf of myself and everyone associated with the film let me say THANK YOU!

--Michael Moore

So true.

You've gone from wondering why Moore, isn't donating 100% of the films proceeds to charity (Since you like playing with dicts, you might look up "capitalisim") , to suggesting that he receives 100% of the box office dollar amounts, to dodging a very similar right-wing comparison ( Rush), and finally to attacking it's classification as a documentry.

So Headless ( or shitless? ), how much do you give ???/

Or how much Dubya gives ( of his own money ...).... Or to that effect anybody else gives???

Respect the man even if you disagree with his political views.

However, I remember the lefties were bitching about it's R-rating classification...

I thought that was completely justified after seeing the gorey pictures of the dead and wounded.

But aren't those clips for the news that were played over and over again???

Oups, sorry, they were probably only showed once, because it is not good for the war to show this.

What was showed over and over again was Jannet's nipple and Howard Dean's scream...

LOL...

Nah man, DF hasn't answered a thing because it's not 100% of the proceeds...

This person who started this thread doesn't understand why Moore isn't giving away 100% of the proceeds to charity.
