The fog hissed angrily as if it were fighting something and suddenly it parted, as if a tunnel of fresh, clean air were winding its way though, beckoning me to enter.

The tunnel led into a clearing... a lone, solitary spot of emptiness hidden deep within the dense cloud mass. As I stepped into the center of the void, my mind began to clear. I felt a sensation of inner clarity that I had never known before, as if I was suddenly seeing reality for the first time. A bright shaft of moonlight beamed down upon me, so bright and so radiant that I felt as though I could feel it as a warm, cleansing ray upon my face.

The tablet appeared to be made of stone, but as I reached out to touch it, I realized that it was jejune, completely devoid of matter or mass, yet appearing absolutely solid. Like hundreds of tiny, winding snakes they scattered about the page.
