Hi Rick, Thank you for your reply. Please note that the changes you describe are consistent with the fluctuations we mentioned in our previous note. Our automatic processes sometimes cause dramatic shifts in the ranking or indexing of sites. As previously mentioned, a page's PageRank score may increase naturally with subsequent crawls. Google's robots crawl the web on a regular cycle of four to six weeks, indexing more than four billion webpages. New sites and changes to existing sites will be noted in the course of the next crawl, which will be completed soon. Were you able to read my mail as yet? I just discovered some other bs these same guys are pulling. They have multiple domains using similar illegal tactics as those described in my email. I also found a few pages used by them that seem to be using directly targeted cj 'phrases'. All these pages point to some sort of sexual enhancement pill called OptisX. |

Say you get rid of a few sites, big deal. there will be 10 sites to fill the shoes of the previous. It's an endless battle and unless you want to spend more money than you're probably losing it's not worth it. Last I checked Google returns 10 results per page, somebody HAS to fill the other results. The internet is Lawless and crosses too many countries borders. The best thing to do is try and convert them to your program (assuming you have one). Get them to promote your stuff or pay for advertising on the sites. :2 cents: |

I don't know if you can do anything ... It's the same for using Britney Spears, nude or non-nude, without her consent, which is common practice on the net, and for all other celebs, etc.

You only get redirected from consumptionjunction.com to consumptionjunction.com/home.asp or www.consumptionjunction.com to www.consumptionjunction.com/home.asp if you have already verified your age. We cookie you so you don't have to do it over and over. Naturally, a bot both couldn't verify it's age to get redirected nor could it navigate at all from .com to .com/home.asp. What does that make you think?

Google has not liked redirects for a long time, but usually they could only catch the META REFRESH redirects. There's been rumor lately that the spiders are starting to be able to figure out other types of redirects as well. I've been using a hahahahahahahahahaha redirect for eons now and recently I've had a few pages that ranked very well just up and disappear. They still have a great PR (PR5 and 6) but they just don't appear in the SERPs at all. I'm thinking they've caught on to the trick. In your case, while you are not trying to deceive the GoogleBot, the bot itself really is not smart enough yet to determine if your redirect is malicious or not, so it just assumes that you're trying to trick it and penalizes you anyway.
Funny how SEO always comes back full circle. More and more lately, getting great results that STAY great results is just a matter of going back to the basics and trying to get rid of the people that use shady tactics to move ahead of you. I've spent a lot of time lately just building good quality pages with relevant links and as time moves on I'm starting to see some good results again, with pure organic SEO and no tricky bullshit. Go figure! :) |

As mentioned by others, Google doesn't like redirects. Plus at first glance Googlebot might think that http://consumptionjunction.com/ is a one-page site, ie it cannot submit the form, so it cannot enter the site. Though it can still explore the rest of your site via 3rd-party links to your internal pages. |
I just got this email from Wired Guy:
By the way, I noticed you're now #1 for "consumption junction" and "consumptionjunction" on Google. Congrats. Charles ____ The cool thing about it is that I haven't even done the SEO work you guys recommended, yet. I just sent those couple of emails off. Google got me to number one in less than 72 hours. So, now I'll have the SEO work done and complain about the spammers to make sure I stay there. Thanks for your help everyone. |
I know this is a old thread. But when Google list your site as a URL it is because of this:
4. There's no description of my site. The Google index contains two types of pages--fully indexed and partially indexed pages. Your page is currently partially indexed, which means that although we know about your site, our robots have not read all the content on your page(s) in past crawls. This does not adversely affect your PageRank or your inclusion in our index. It does mean that we don't 'know' what to call your page, so it gets listed with the URL as the title and no description. We appreciate the frustration this causes webmasters who work hard to make their sites accessible to users. We are working to increase the number of fully indexed pages in our search results to alleviate this problem. http://www.google.com/webmasters/3.html I have had a partially indexed site for 6 months |

Will take another full crawl and a PR update to get your real PR again. You are on a temp PR. Googlebot prolly got some probs crawling your site a couple of times in a row, thats why. I got the same problem often , just wait and see |
Sorry Rick, that response was automated, at least to a large degree. How do I know that? Because I read it before. Somewhere (maybe here?) someone posted a letter they got from google and I have a good memory...it was basically word for word.
|
I'm surprised no one has figured out the real deal with Google. Type in XXX in the search and you'll see none of the top sites are sex sites... then look over at the "sponsored results". Nothing to do with christians or IPO as was suggested in an earlier post

Rick, your age page is certainly going to cause issues. While it might be a good legal move, it certainly plays havoc with google and googlebot.
Specifically, what happens to someone who tries to access home.asp without the cookie set? I look at that age page, there are no real links off, there is not much content, and basically it looks like a dead page. Your current PR0 might be as a result of this sort of thing. Are you doing this on good legal advise, or is it "just a good idea"? I think it is hurting you with Google to the extreme. Alex |
I know this is totally not the subject, but do you take submitions to your TGP? If so, where is the link for the submit page? I canīt find it anywhere!!
