Al Qaeda was NOT in Iraq! They were principally in Afghanistan and Pakistan! We started off going after them in Afganistan and then GW thinks it makes a great opportunity to go after Saddam, knowing people like you will think that there's an Al Qaeda connection (9-11 commission, even top level White Diplomats admit there was NO connection with Al Qaeda and Iraq for 9-11 or any other time), and Iraq was part of 9-11. We helped CREATE this mess in Iraq where most of these beheadings are going on by going to war in Iraq! They weren't there before the war..but they are there now! We proved to be a great recruiting tools for terrorists all over the world! You want to call someone an idiot..say that about Bush! HE's the one that diverted our focus and troops away from Afghanistan and Bin Laden by invading Iraq. |

WE should care. We can't be so righteous and go screaming "They're killing innocent civilians" when the United States has been doing that since the beginning of the Iraqi war. What a hypocrite you are! |

If someone murdered a person in the United States, wouldn't you want the ACTUAL killer caught and punished? Would you be happy if we just arrested ANYONE and executed them for a crime they DID NOT commit? I don't think so! And the SAME applies here. If we are going to go after the people that attacked us on 9/11..let's go after the REAL perpetrators! |

Yes, NY twins were bombed by order of the former CIA agent Osama Bin Laden. So should we bomb CIA? Why Iraq, but why not Washington DC where CIA is located?

They want to destroy Israel and then us. Are you all fricking blind or what? Listen to the crap these mullah fuckers are preaching to their people about us. They want the whole world to be Muslim. I'll be damned if that's going to happen. Fuck that and fuck them. |
Quote:
I know it sounds cold but I don't have sympathy for people that want to destroy us. War is ugly. Those are innocent victims. Its sad. Its bad. It's downright awful when kids get hurt in the process. But that is the price that is and will continue to be paid to those that think they can fuck with the US and its allies and get away with it. |
Got to wonder witch was worse for the iraqi people.. sadam or the occupation. Im not trying to bash the US here Wars like this are hell. Vietnam was proof of that.
Just hope that it works out for them in the end. I peronally think the whole "War On Terror" has lost its focus I also think Bush made a huge mistake in the way he did things in iraq:2 cents: |

And BTW, news ( not american speakerphones) report that the kidnappers " had a foreign accent".
In other words, they are not Iraqi. Terror is now growing in Iraq and the culprit to blame is not Saddam, but Bush. And it will get much worser before any better... |

Do you guys even understand anything about Iraq? You act like you're all experts but you speak without understanding the situation. Iraq is far better off without living under a tyrannt, except for all his henchmen that are still out there but are no longer getting a free ride like they were under Saddam. The region is better off without Saddam. Every head of state has said that. |

What bothers me the most that it has gone from "muslim fundementalists" to just "muslims". 99% are normal people with good standards (yes the Koran has good values aswell). The other 1% are those that feel that their way of life is in danger, and only a few of them are just plain evil. Now how do you think the 99% feels when they are being threated like the devil himself? |

If so, why don't you liberate " Israel" or yourself???? Iraq was not a " sand dune", but a civilisation that was the base of many cultures. You know, 400 years ago, America was a fucking mosquito breeding ground while many countries already had a rich history... So instead of " forcing down the throat" your so great democracy, why don't you respect differences in population??? |

The USA is far better off without living under a Bush's tyranny and propaganda. The region is better off without Bush. Every head of state has said that. Do you like such a statement? Can you prove that your one is better? Please just don't start calling me an idiot, moron, motherfucker, etc. Just think on it. |

I agree with parts of mostly everyone that posted here. But there is truth in both sides. 1) You can not argue that the invasion of Iraq went well. It went a lot worse than the US Government expected. 2) Iraq is better of without the tyrannt, BUT it might not be better of right now. Many of the Iraqi people are not really doing a whole lot better right now, some are even doing worse, due to bad water / power supply. 3) Leaving Iraq now is definately the stupid thing to do. Iraq would totally collapse. What should be done though is getting the US control out of there and replacing it with the UN. This would mean yet again that the UN has to clean up the US's mess but it makes more sense if the UN gets control because they will be trusted more. 4) By _FAR_ the most Muslims do not hate the US. More obviously hate them now since they all feel that the US just wants Iraq's oil, but still, most do not HATE all americans, they just do not particularly like Bush's policies. Not all Muslims want to destroy Israel and then the US. And even the ones that might want to, you are missing the point of why. Israel is obvious, they feel that Israel stole their land, which is true in many areas and is debateable in many others. They do not REALLY want to destroy the US, they want it out of their region. Their master plan is not to kill every american, they want them to butt out of far eastern politics since they feel its none of their bussiness. The reason this started is simply because the US kept and keeps backing Israel. Those are the most important points I think. Also, one small thing some of you might not know because many here might think the Koran is just a bunch of crap talking about how to hate everyone that is not muslim and so on. I bet only very few people here know that the Koran in MOST sections tells EXACTLY the same things as the christian Bible. At least as far as the old testament goes its virtually the same. It starts the same, has the same contents and so on. Just wanted to share my thoughts ;) |

You think a country can be democratized in under a year? Good luck if it happens in 5 years. They're going to have to go through much more bloodshed in the years to come. But this is part of the process. Just like the many years it took the US to become an independent nation. |

If really the Iraqis had asked and collaborated to the"liberation" that would be one story, but this is a violent and repressive occupation that is backfiring : more terror acts and more terrorism than ever. :2 cents: |

A frame grab taken from video footage shows the bodies of U.S. soldiers in the town of Ramadi, west of Baghdad June 21, 2004. Four U.S. soldiers were found dead, apparently killed in an attack by Iraqi insurgents, witnesses said on Monday. (Reuters TV/Reuters):BangBang: |

you keep forgetting that there were many months leading up to the war. Sadaam was warned too many times to let weapons inspectors into the country and into facilities. How long did the games have to go on? Now he's fucking gone and Iraq will be a better place one day soon like Dubai or Kuwait, but for now there will be a shit storm. But things will be better when the dust eventually clears. |
