Lately I see a lot of refunds on my ccbill stats as an affiliate. Just this last week there have been almost as many refunds as new signups. Anybody know why this is going on? I haven't had a refund in years before and maybe 2 or 3 charge backs over 4 years.

As a sponsor, we see a little of this ourselves, and have even given some refunds........ when a client isn't happy and they call, CCBill has to give them a refund. But trust me, as a sponsor, we'd MUCH rather have a refund than a chargeback..... We will give them a refund in a new york minute to keep them from charging back. Oh sure, we'll try to keep them, offer them a free month or something like that, but if refusing to refund them means they get nasty and charge it back........... not me, I'd rather just give them their money back and I am sure this is how CCBill feels about it as well. Believe it or not, this one is for our protection.

I called them about this a few weeks ago myself........ and that's what they told me. We have been luck and only had 3 chargebacks since January and it's because we work with our own members.... you'd be shocked how much this means to those members.

I asked CCBill about this and in most cases if they get to it in time and know it is check fraud, they will do a refund...... not all of them will result in a chargeback.

I know this because we caught a guy using stolen cards and other info just last week and alerted them about it and they just did refunds on all of them... and it was done.
