Pro-Active response to spyware - taking a surfer by the hand? - GoFuckYourself.com

Since reading all of this talk about a big program downloading spyware in a surfer's computer - & alot of people losing sales, how productive/destructive would it be (& is there a way) to have the surfer click a link on our sites that would quickly check for redirecting spyware or that would turn it off so people can get credit for their signups?

I'm not a programmer by any means, but the only way I think you would be able to pursue such a solution would be to have the surfer download an .exe file.

... And you know how the average experienced surfer reacts to a .exe file.

Is there any other way for the cookies to truly be set? Like perhaps putting a page between the galleries & the tour so the cookie gets set - or perhaps a way for IP & cookie to be set to the affiliate?
