Anyone know HVAC?

How much of a pain in the ass would it be to create a functional 2nd (or 3rd!) new vent to a office in a residence?

Is there any way to prioritize cooling to the vents?

Ie.. the office is ~10 degrees hotter than the rest of the house.

I played around with a portable AC in here but I didn't like it... it was way too loud for the amount of cooling it did.

It's 6:30am here and no HVAC people are in the office for 2.5 more hours. I figure someone on this board must know a thing or two about HVAC
