ATTN: People who have "erotic sound" files on their site
It may be ideal to put those sounds on mp3.com.
They have some adult sections. A big benefit is that you can make money from people listening to your files. It also decreases your bandwidth. (la de da) |

I don't think they can put a virus in an MP3 file yet. Maybe Napster just crashed on you because it's buggy. It does that to me once in a while.

Ha ha, since when could a non-program file contain a virus?
Viruses are programs, they need to be run in order to infect your computer. Which means 1. a virus can only be transported in a program file (which could be an email attachment), and 2. it needs to be run after it's on your computer (some fucking programs run shit without you asking, i think outlook is a known one to do such things). It's very possible to have an infected file on your computer, without your computer begin infected yet. But as soon as you run that puppy, look out.------------------ Juge - webmaster of Juge's Bikini and Thong Page http://www.jugesbikini.com/ |

Back in the day, I thought I read about JPEG images containing malicious java/javascript.
Am I mistaken? |

i dont see how java can be contained in a jpeg. and even if the code was in there, the web browser would try and view the java as a jpeg, and not execute the script, therefore making it useless.

In reply to acer, a program would probably have to request that info from the file in question would it not?
I cite a digimarc style copyright embed on an Image. if you use adobe or micrografx, or another program that looks for the info it will display a copyright symbol on the program head. A basic image viewer will not display that copyright symbol.
