Agreed. I have conditioned myself to take my mouse offscreen while a GFY page is loading, to make sure it doesn't hit a banner accidentally. As a result, I have missed all the banners above mentioned. Yay!

They are goddamn annoying i use same tactic as Elli and keep the mouse poff screen when loading GFY

for people who work at home and have kids sleeping in the next room nothign is more annoying that a banner that throws up load groans when youre reading GFY at 3am.

This just happened to me! It's 3:57 a.m. and I can't sleep. My wife's sleeping in one room with the door open and my kids in another. All of the sudden, huge loud moan.
