Blair shot himself in the foot

I'm sure a lot of people from the UK can confirm this.

Tony Blairs New Labour lost neary 500 councilers at the local elections this week, knocking them into 3rd place in the overall vote. The man's done so much good for the UK, then he messes it all up with his blind loyalty to Bush. Its tragic.

Yes, it is. But according to him, it was the right thing to do. What can I say, he seems to be a man of principles.

your statement had no relevance to the statement you were replying to. That's why it made no sense.

Just what good has he done for the uk labour have never met any of there political targets,we pay more in tax now than we ever did.Everyone out there assumes blairs fall in popularity is down to the iraq war because nobody gives it any thought and just puts everything down to what the media tells them the reason is.Try looking into taxation in this country of ours.In the last budget blair cost every small buisness in this country an extra £2000 a year in tax by stopping them being able to claim dividends on profit margins of less than £10,000 a year but hey if you have a profit margin of £1,000,000 you take get round the taxation laws and not pay 40% by claiming it.No fucking press coverage for that but it effected and cost every small buisness in the country thousands.

Labour will not lose, Blair may well not be running the show though.

Thats the problem who else would do a better job. Most people in the uk vote labour because it's just bred into them, the tories are a bunch of idiots and no body will vote liberal because in this country as well as the usa we are all scared of the word because the media breeds it into us that it is a bad word. You watch i guarantee that people as soon as they read this post and see the word liberal they will sit back in there chair and say FUCKING LIBERAL without any thought at all.I don't have the answers but i do look past what tv tells me and not conditioned to steriotypical responses either.

I think the Dubya government has to stop saying good things about democracies. Maybe it is not good spin, but they have to get real.

Their dictator friends are much more stable. I said it before, and I say it again, the fuck-up to loose Hussain as an allie is Bush Daddies biggest fuck-up.

Every democratic government that suports baby Bush will be thrown out at the next election.

Blair will stick around until the Labour party is ellected for a third time and then he will go. He will have then put himself firmly in the history books.

This was a war based punishment in many ways but also there is the case that any party after this many years starts to lose its grip on the voting public. Plus, remember that when a general election is called there will be a much larger voter base. The kind of people that vote in the smaller elections tend to be more conservative voters (or politcal junkies like me).
