I think that Bush is doing the right thing. He wants to get Saddam out of there, which will take some work, but it'll be worth it because if Saddam keeps doing what he's doing, we're gonna wake up one day with a nuke flying over our head. That'd actually be neat to have George Jr. finish the job that his daddy started many years ago.
Saddam doesn't care about anyone, but himself. He has palaces all over the country, but yet his people are poor. Then he's not complying to any of the terms from the UN. Everyone knows that he's up to no good over there, building up weapons to try to make another invasion or worse yet shoot some missles around. I do agree with blakkfrog about us defending everything. Sure we do have Britian there with us in most cases, but we pretty pull do most of the work. I guess that I'd rather have the US spearheading everything, than some other country, we're the SUPER POWER !! I'd rather have us in control. The thing that I don't like though, is that if someone was fucking with the US, everyone else would probably turn their backs. Slick |

No ne is going to remove Saddam. Removing him would send that entire region into chaos. The smaller political factions would beat the living snot out of each other as thay grappled for the reigns of power. As much as he SHOULD be taken out, there are tons of reasons why he should NOT be taken out.

hell I have an easy solution...
if they want the US to be the police of the world, then lets do it like the police do... 1. Lets just go over there and finish the damn job... 2. If any complaints from other countries saying that it is wrong, bomb thier ass too... That is for supportting the fucks over there... 3. As far as civilian casulties, fuckem'... If they did not support the actions of their leader, they would: a) get ride of his ass themselves, or b) they would leave the fucking country... No question Saddam is an asshole, but you have to understand a little history, to understand the situation.
British colonialism originally fucked up Iraq and their meddling started the ball rolling in an extremely screwed up part of the world Corrupt officials financed by oil profits of the US and British petroleum companies, brought on the overthrow of the "Western friendly" crooked Iraqi leaders The CIA responded by financing the Kurds in 1972 to the tune of tens of millions of US taxpayers dollars. Iraq responded by aligning itself with the Soviet Union (how to you think they got all those Russian tanks?) As a US taxpayer I might be asking how much money, after desert storm, and the ongoing cost... how much did this bullshit really cost me on my paycheck? As a US citizen I much ask how much in lives and health of your soldiers, did it cost? ...and was it necessary? It's easy to look back, but likely Saddam would not have aligned himself with the soviet union, if the CIA had not financed the Kurds. The stupider thing, is that Kurdish rebels are continually attacking Turkey (a NATO aligned country) and continually starting these little middle east "skirmishes" so it is conceivable, in the near future, US armed forces may be called to fight them also. Won't that be the cat's ass, your tax dollars hard at work? Of course we must not forget the cash hungry french who will sell weapons to anybody, at the same time all the shit was hitting the fan, the french were selling nuclear reactor technology to oil rich Iraq. Do you know that french nuclear engineers were still in iraq assisting the ongoing attempts to bring the Osirak nuclear facility online? in 1981, nice eh? Of course these are the same (french) assholes who were busy helping Argentina arm it's french built Mirage fighters with exocet missiles, during the Falkland war. Now that's what I call after sales service. How many soldiers died in that war? For a big barren rock with sheep farmers on it? Anyway the point I am getting at, is things are seldom black and white, good and bad... so you better educate yourself, so that your children don't end up dying somewhere as soldiers in a war that wasn't necessary. The good guys aren?t always as good as you think they are. ...oh and no doubt that France has sent back engineers and technical experts to get that nuclear reactor in tip top condition, too bad that the first missile can't reach France eh? (I am being sarcastic of course) Saddam would never want to make a nuclear warhead. |

does not matter what it was over... you should know, if you have a son in the USMC and grandfather that was in the service, that you do not have a choice in what war or conflicts you fight... My whole deal with this was the fact that everyone looks to the US to keep the peace around the world... And if that is the case, just do it, and get it over with... Quit prolonging the thing and just finish the job... That is all... But I guess people can only get out of what is said, by the way they look at it or take it... Cause in my opinion, we should just let them kill themselves off, IF that is what they want to do... The US can kill anyone they want to, but who will take over if they do. I saw a picture in TIME magazine years ago, where the US GOVT had determined where Khadafi was and bombed the shit outta his compound, well not actually, they bombed a 1 block radius around the compound and left his little area intact right down to the chain link fence ecasing it. My favorite espionage story is about the arms dealer who was trying to sell the big gun to IRAQ. There was this guy from Mc Gill university, who built a gun that would theoretically shoot the moon. While in Paris I think it was, arranging transport of the tubing for it (disguised as oilfield equipment) a key player was eliminated by the isreali secret service, and they were not shy about taking credit for the kill either. The moral of the story is keep your riends close, and you enemies closer. I do not think a lot of George Dubya Bush, but if these little freaks are not kept in line by a power like the United States, this whole fucking continent we all love could be put into serious jeoprady. The big gun could have easily shot a big fuckin bullet right into the United States doing some serious damage, and really hurting the feeling of security we North Americans have. It's nice not to worry about car and airport bombings, and live a fairly relaxed life worrying about bills and how to buy the newest toys we all want. As for Bombing Iraq this time, FLEX THAT MUSCLE, and let him know he could be dead at any time. Saddams predecessor could be worse than he is.
