You would think that in the open marketplace of ideas and words the offensive ones would be beaten down without needing to be banned outright but on this board they are not stood up to or countered to any degree. hmm it seems it makes it look even more horrible when you ban one company/person for doing it and letting another get away with it.. Think about it..

Lensman made the rule up after he banned him , so the reason he was banned WAS NOT FOR USING THE WORD NIGGER. It was for personal attacks , something the person he attacked also did and took part of and continues to.

Obviously you missed the dozens of useless threads Amp posted. I would think his banning had more to do with the sheer number of useless posts than the word nig ger being used in every single one of them.

If Fletch had started 100 threads all on the same subject in a matter of hours then he should have been banned too. He didn't though. Just Amp, because he had one of his brain spells.

Did you see the number of threads he started? He was flooding the board, pure and simple. What does this have to do with personal attacks?

At one point the entire first page was about 50% posts by Amp that all had basically the same body text and the word nig ger in the subject line.

If a person wants to launch personal attacks on people here, I'm all for it, but they should use their head and not flood the board.

I wasn't around last night to witness the circus, but it makes no sense to when someone is trying to expose hypocricy rather than trying to be furthering racism that you hold it against the guy just because he made one too many threads. Shouldn't we all feel free to speak our minds here and if you come across like an inbred, people will make their own conclusions about whether to do biz with said person.
