Payout % vs PPS whats better ? - GoFuckYourself.com

get this question all the time hopefully this will help clear the air a bit. I am reposting it from another thread but hopefully it is informative.

first off % is better than PPS on our system. I have one webmaster who sends about 2000 traffic a day to 2 accounts. on PPS and one % and has been doing this for over a year. He makes around $100 a day on each account. The difference is if he turned off both accounts today the % account would pay out for more than a year to come slowly declining over time.

As for how many free signups convert to customers, that really varies on were the traffic comes from and how it is sent to us. I have seen only one trend, if your free signups to traffic sent is over 5% then you should do well with us and te closer you are to 10% conversion from traffic to free signup the more money you will make.

And on to the real hat trick
In live cams there are customers and then there are REAL customers (WHALES) kinda like a casino. 1 (whale) can equal 100 customers. it usuallly takes a good ammount of traffic to find that one whale, a whale can spend as much as $20,000 in a month. as you can see at 20% this is $4000 your cut. Obviously that is the extreme but havina guy who spends 5000 is not unusual.

Now sometimes someone sends us some traffic and it does not convert in the first couple days, and they pull the plug. Thinking this program sucks or whatever. Mostly they just did not stick around long enough to find the GOLD ! This is different than sending traffic to paysites. These customers come back every day and talk to girls. Eventually they try it out. the free signup you send today can turn into a sale 2 months or a year later. But if you have stopped sending traffic, you likely forget all about that when ya get your check a year later.

On the other hand sometimes we get a customer who sends a little traffic lands a WHALE their first week and think oh my god this porgram is the greatest converting thing on the planet ! It typoically takes a good 6 months or so of steady traffic to reach a peak performance but can take up to a year.

This is a long term partnership, Many companies have been with us for years and we are inside almost every major paysite company there is. There is a reason for that !

Please give us a shot at converting your traffic, but give us a fair shot at it and remember it takes a bit more time with live cams but the payoffs can be wicked for waiting around

percentage works if you're sending a good amount of steady traffic....But if you're only sending a trickle of traffic, persignup works better.

it all depends on the sponsor. % can be good or bad, it depends on the content the sites have and how often they update.

the funny thing is for a lot of years I sent only to per click and pps programs but found some good stuff in % over time with certain programs like live cams

Recurring on good sponsor is always a better option . The only problem with that kind of payment is the money rolling . It's very slow so if you buy spots and shit like that, the money you have to invest at first is higher

if thats the case lars why not continue the 50$ signup beyond 1 month. It would seem to me if you all are raking it in as you say on recurring this wouldnt be a problem... SO will THIS be the case?

doing something like that would make me switch to % cause I would be like they must be cleaning up in recurring to offer this much on the reg.

% is always better when dealing with the per minute models cam sponsors offer... because most of them tag your customer for life based on his cc, email, all of the above etc...

i've hooked big fish that will drop a couple g's a month for years to come, you stop sending traffic and your cheques stay the same, increase, or decrease depending on who you've hooked. you hook a whale for $50 and you're gonna lose out. these are the things you need to run constant and check your stats monthly and yearly instead of hourly...most of the cam guys are more solid than a lot of the "regular" affiliate progs... they just can't compete with the webmaster mindset the pps progs bring to the table.

what's fucked up is i was trying to pass some good programs off to a buddy today, and i noticed a lot of the live upsell type shit didn't offer wm ref %'s. imo that's just silly, get to where the pps progs are, where's my incentive to share the wealth?

Dre, interesting point. I actually never thought of this at length (yes I know recurring is better but with respect to investing). I agree with you and I can now add a recommendation to an affiliate depending on their situation.

I would say to an affiliate, if you don't have much funds to invest for startup and you need money quickly, go with PPS. That way you will earn money faster AND invest LESS. It's a win win for somebody starting out. Then you can choose to go with % option which will earn you more in the long run, or continue to do both.

and actually so as to not knock the pps i joined your proggy a couple years back when you were offering a high payout for the month, cut your traffic when the month ended. and the cheques have never diminished even though i'm not sending any new traffic now.

if you do PPC marketing, PPS is always better as can see some nice ROI at the end of the month with a 50 usd payout.

id go revshare if i had alot of traffic though for sure.
