Saw the band last night and they fucking tore it up. If you're a fan of GnR or STP you're gonna love these guys. Scott Weiland is an out of hand front man, Slash is playing better than ever and Duff is without a doubt the most charismatic bass player ever. See them if you can!

A friend of mine saw them the other night, and said they kicked ass.

Some of their new songs, a couple of STP, and a couple GNR. Sounds cool.

The Moore Theater in Seattle. Where did you get the disc? Aren't all the kazaa etc. listings spoofs? I was backstage talking to Matt Sorum and this girl comes up and wants him to sign a copy of "Contraband" and it isn't even being released till Tuesday. He asked her where she got it and it turns out a radio station gave her an advance copy. Matt said he didn't even have one yet, showed it to Duff and made her promise not to upload it.

EDIT - I forgot to say Matt is drumming like a Swiss watch and Dave is the right guy for the job. His playing compliments Slash's perfectly. Band of bonafide mofos, one and all!

Actually speaking of Velvet Revolver, I just downloaded Contraband, so far I have to say I'm not awfully impressed.

STP were much better imo. But, live is a different story of course.
