SEO Dudes - How do you manage your sponsor codes?
Do you own a large number of domains for SEO purposes?
If so, how do you manage your sponsor codes? Do you use: * static links * an ad server (eg phpAdsNew) * some other solution? Why is your solution the best approach? What do you do when you need to change codes over a large number of domains spread over various hosts? Do you automate link-exchanges in any way? |

Use some common sense man
All join links go to a page with the sponsor's join page in a frame. Or use a php redirect on that page to redirect to the sponsor's page. Dont ever hardcode your join links into thousands or millions of pages across dozens or hundred of domains. I have over 200 domains and no way the links are hardcoded. If a sponsor starts fucking you and you need to change them, you're just fucked. If you use my method, you only have a couple pages to change. |

What you can do is setup categories within the script -- say mature, teen, ebony, or whatever... Then place your sponsor links within these categories. Then you would link directly to your own script, which internally would redirect you to the appropriate sponsor link. The links would look something like this: http://www.domain.com/atogallery/?cat=1 Then within the admin of the script, you can give certain sponsors higher priority over others -- or with the click of the mouse you can turn a sponsor off if you don't like the results you're getting. I'm sure there are plenty more scripts out there that you can do this with, but the ATO script is quite good. Also, with a little creative htaccess work, you can mask the URL's to look like static URL's to the engines. Good luck! |

I send all my surfers through one script that 1) logs the date, their ip, and their referrer and 2) choose where they go from a database. I can bring up an up-to-the-minute report on all my outclicks to all my sponsors, and change linkcodes universally on the fly.

What I have been doing with the sites I have been creating is simple, link them all to a link on my domain. Example: www.mydomain.com/keyword-one
www.mydomain.com/keyword-two all link to www.mydomain.com/fpa.html so that way i can change my sponsors ad on a daily and if I ever have to change the link codes I won't have to change but one link. I am pretty sure that there is an easier way but this makes sense to me. |

What Nap said is the right thing to do for added keyword relevance targeted to pages but you should still use phpunderwearnew for management.

what i do now is set up a geo ip filtering page and use that to send the links to, if usa send to sponsor ect, and filter junk traffic.
also this way if the sponsor changes codes or fucks you like what mrpheer stats you just edit the one file. |

Good job, most people don't think about geo-filtering. WG
