Problems registering a business?

Has anybody had problems registering theirs into a business? I'm in the process of doing it and I have to get the towns approval, then the provinces approval. I though it was going to be easy to just register this into a business.

Just don't tell them you are an adult business. You do design or seo or some other thing - just not adult and you should get approved no problem.

Thats the thing I didn't tell them it was adult, just that I design websites, I have to write a letter to the town and explain in detail the business will be, is there any door traffic, and crap like that, then have to see if I need provincal approval, last time I tried they got all confused and thought I was exportingand importing stuff and I just gave us trying to explain it to a bunch of newfies LOL

What kind of business license are you trying to get? If you're just trying to be a sole propriator it should be really easy... In alberta, you don't even have to register if you're operating under your own name.

Thats what we are trying to do, just one so that we can do taxes under the business. Just a simple business license.
