Interesting. I always assumed it wasn't actually about a drug and rather the "perfect drug" was a metaphor for something/someone who satisfied a craving in a drug-like way.

There are drugs out there that won't give you bad trips... psychedelics and dissociatives are usually the only ones associated with bad trips.

(eg, LSD,Mushrooms,PCP,Ketamine,GHB,DXM, etc...)
