I think it is still possible. but only if you two really want to be with each other. Alot of succesful marriages go through alot of fighting.

All couples must be able to fight in order to survive. Some fight more often, just to blow off steam. If it's done well with no hard feelings in the end, then all's well that ends well.

But if it's not comfortable, then maybe it's time to call it done. Both of you have to want to make it work to succeed.

I didn't say anything about this happening to me... although I was just kind of sitting here reflecting on some things and wondered if past arguments/fights would leave a little scar for the rest of the relationship. A lot of day to day conversation seem to slip a little something up from a previous argument.

That, or I just smoked some really good stuff tonight, lol.

Sure there is hope. Give it a little more time and remember a few things, like there doesn't always have to be a winner.....and learn when to pick your battles and when to leave them for another day when things can be talked about when each of you are in a better frame of mind.

If you can't get along on a day to day basis, time to call it quits.

Fighting over actual issues is one thing, but a basic incompatibility or lack of respect that causes you to argue all the time? You're starting off at a defecit before you've even hit any rough patches.

That's what it seems like. Mainly fights about something that someone did that we didn't like. Example: she got so worked up when I "P.S.'ed" the "I love you" in an e-mail.

Sounds like your both a bunch of drama queens who need the focus of attention from others upon your relationship because it lacks any real inward focus or interest and the only way to make it worthwhile for both of you is to create interest in yourselves as a couple from an outward source. Depends if the one that does the stuff that you are fighting about wants to change. A lot of couple fight over small things because there is a bigger issue that they don't talk about. Work on it and if it doesn't change you can better split up.
