I just lost a dear friend...
I don't know if this is appropriate or not to post here, but with memorial day weekend coming up in the states I just wanted to remind everyone how precious life really is.
Yesterday I received one of the worst phone calls you could receive. It was my best friend calling to let me know that on the weekend one of our friends was in a car accident. She was going up to Kelowna for the weekend to party with some other friends. It was just a regular weekend for her, having fun, that's what she did. Two of her friends were following behind her on the highway when she rounded the corner, that's when it happened. Her car went over the cliff and she was thrown from the car. She was airtransported to the nearest hospital where she was put on life support. On Tuesday afternoon, she died. Now we still do not know alot of the details that lead up to this. We don't know if alcohol or speeding were involved, but we do know that she was not wearing her seatbelt. All I want is to hopefully make someone think before they get behind the wheel of their car. Remember how precious life is before you turn the key, before you shrugg off the seatbelt. Live life to it's fullest, enjoy each and every day and love your loved ones, for you never know what may happen next. Thank you for listening to me, and I am sending all of my love and prayers to my dear friend and her family.

Sorry to hear of your loss. I also lost a friend who crashed into the back of a stalled car on the freeway. My name was listed as the person to contact in case of an emergency. It was a hellish call to receive from a Highway Patrolman.
She was wearing a seatbelt. I feel when your time is up, no seatbelt, airbag, or prayer is going to save you. |

I really wanted to thank everybody who sent their kind thoughts and wishes. It has meant alot to me to know the support that everyone here offers. This has been a very difficult thing to grasp, I mean I am still trying to come to terms with the fact that this has actually happened, and everyone here has made me feel like I am not alone.
