DAMN, you too? NOTHING is worse than soggy bread. You should see the people at Subway when I order my sandwiches...... I have to have them give me shit every single time when I tell them I want my tomato next to the meat and the lettuce next to the damn bread....... they act like I have lost my damn mind. LOL

The only time I even eat lettuce and tomato on a sandwich is out because I forget to put it on there at home. lol

K, I only use one piece of bread. So here is how it goes.
Bread, mustard (usually dijon), lettuce, tomato, cucumber, meat, cheese. Then I put it in the toaster till the cheese melts. Cut it in half, put the two pieces together, and smack dab in the middle of your sandwich is this wonderful piling of melted cheese. So when your sandwich is together it goes like this:
Bread, mustard, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, meat, cheese, cheese, meat, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, mustard, bread!

yes!! perfect. just made me extremely hungry!! :1orglaugh

Damn......... LOL

If I use loaf bread, it HAS to be Colonial bread and extra fresh, stale bread sucks ass........ and I don't toast it.

If I wanna go all out, I buy white or wheat hoagies and build the sandwich and put it into the toaster oven....... LOL

Ok here is a common one when California avacodos are in season.

Sour dough roll (local bakery makes them) un-toasted.
Lots of peppered roast beef sliced medium thin.
Mayo that is home made. store bought mayo is icky. Thin layer of mayo on both bread sides, the fat prevents bread from getting soggy.
Mustard, slighlty grainy. Not the typical american yellow mustard.
Thin sliced purple onions.
Few slices provolone cheese.
Sliced dill pickles.
Half or more of a smashed avacodo.
Slight smearing of horseradish on top bun.
A sprinkle of salt.

mmmmmm..... sounds heavenly.... Just out of curiosity. when you say "baker" do you mean the "bakery" section they have at the grocery store like Albertsons? Or a baker shop that specializes in nothing but baking bread?

A place that just bakes bread, but you should be able to find a quality sourdough roll in most stores or places that sell sea food in uncooked form.
