So I can set a box to access the web from internet explorer thru a remote proxy everybody does this every day.

How do I make windows use proxy for other things like ping for example while still maintaining real ip space on the local box?

BTW the box is windows xp or windows 2k3.

You can do it. Run a proxy server on your local machine.

Thanks but I already have the proxy set up I need a way to access it from any service other than a browser REMOTELY while maintaining real ip space.

I think you need to setup like a VPN and use port forwarding or something.. its complex and above my level of expertise.
