Home briefly from the hospital later Monday, Jim Bob, 38, sounded a bit tired but happy. He said his wife and new son were doing fine. He said he leaves the decision up to Michelle on whether to have more children.

"I have always left it up to Michelle because she's actually the one that carries them and does all the labor," he said. "But we both love children. Even yesterday, she said she would like to have some more."

Do these people not understand what birth control is?? I normally don't care how many kids a person has as long as they are happy and well-cared for, but 15?!

Yeah, but as long as they aren't clogging up the welfare system, does it matter? If they are happy, the kids are well-taken care of, what does it REALLY matter? My only beef with lots of kids is people who have them so they can be useless all their lives.. This couple seems quite willing and able to take the financial and other responsibilties upon themselves.

If she's crazy enough to do it 15 times, all the power to her! If he still wants to bang her after that, more power to him too!

Yeah that is alot.

My uncle (my aunts husband) has 18 brothers and sisters. But back then they were used as farm hands. I can't even imagine having one. My two dogs are alread too much trouble!

yeah, all those kids get good individual attention....NOT. We don't live in the days where big familys were needed to work on the farm.

kids need that social aspect of school to learn how to interact with others in society...How many of those kids are going to grow up only to leave and never come back cause they resent the fuck out of their parents for not giving them the things they needed as a child... my guess is at least 5 out of the 10..sad. Give the attention to the ones you already have..its like it s hobby to them.

I knew a family like this.. the crazy bitch had full grown children in their 20's..and still kept having babies.. they lived in a shack build from scrap lumber the poor husband came home with from his now carpenter job.. he used to be a german professor at the university of florida... all the baby making had left them shit poor broke. All the kids were homeschooled.. by the time they would reach 14 or 15.. they were runnin away and living with friends to get away from the shack and attend regular shcool..to be NORMAL...she had the last set of twins when she was 51..those girls must be 21 or so now....9 kids..most fucked up to some degree.

I really don't like when people have too many children. Unless they are frickin millionaires and can put each child through college.

I have a friend now who is 21 and has a 3 year old brother. There are 6 kids in this family and they barely have a pot to piss in! Fortunately the father is Spanish so they get to goto school for free/at discount.

Damn get some birth control pills you really can't expect to have kids and not be able to financially support them!

I don't know how you could spend all the quality time you need with each child. I have 3 children and I prefer not to rus or limit the time I have with each one. Good luck to them.

My GF has 6 brothers and 6 sisters.
When I hear the stories on how they grew up I can only say that's not a family that's a mess.

And there were no financial problems. It's just to much to raise so many kids. They will end up getting partly raised by their brothers and sisters.

Damn I would go crazy with that many kids. My family is very religous and one of my aunts has 12 kids. I go crazy if I have to go there. The oldest already has 5 kids of his own. They breed like rabbits. I would prefer 1 or 2 kids and being able to give them a good live, with nice stuff and enough attention from there parents.

You must not know any adults from middle class families who were homeschooled or came from big families.

My son played soccer and most of the team was homeschooled. These were some of the smartest, most polite kids I've ever been around. They were all offered the ability to go to "regular" school and those who did, were always back home after a year.

And large families are AWESOME as far as support.

This isn't a family living in a shack. Any kid would run from home if they lived in a shack, it doesn't matter how many there are - 1 or 20.
