Norton Antivirus - how to enable it?
I click 'enable' but nothing happens - wtf?
are there any services that it needs or opens at startup? i have a lot of things disabled

You could have a virus that corrupted your NAV files. Go to the symantec site and do a scan. I had that problem once and I found the solution in their online FAQ.

Sounds like you have a virus that turned off your anti virus. thats about the only reason i can think of that you'd have this problem.
I've seen this a few times before. Serves you right for using that piece of shit Nortons crap. Get this one if you really want to do something about viruses, other then spread them. http://www.kaspersky.com/ Made by Russian scumbag hax0rs.. so you know its going to do a good job. ![]() |

This use to happen to me also, when windows booted up there was a X through the Norton icon in the taskbar. I hit enable and it would take awhile but it would eventually come on..... I think after I upgraded to the next version it started to work......
Try killing the process and starting it manually.... that will be a pain in the ass to do it everytime you boot up though.... |
