It seems every week we get another expose of another Sponsor shaving. Along with a lot of hot air, gas and little else.

So would this work?

Get 20 webmasters together to start it off, set up a site which we will call "honest_sponsor.com", on a message board style which once established will charge membership.

Start signing up to sponsors programs. Send as useless traffic as possible to the sponsor for 1-4 weeks, then in one week sign up with 20 webmasters on one referral code. Screen capture the sign up and scan the CC statement.

On the site will be a log of the programs signed up to and the results. People will see if one week spikes with 20 extra sign ups.

No comments on cheating or shaving will come from the sites owners, just comments from the board. Therefore alleviating the threat of legal action. Should any one threaten such action, you have all the proof, which you can take to the police.

So tell me why it can't work or where it needs improving. With the help of a lawyer I think it could be a winner.

Obviously the board could also be about webmaster networking and education.

It's the bare bones I'm looking for questions, answers and comments.

That's sound like a good idea.

You just need to find 20 webmaster with a good ammount of traffic that want to work with you.

Websites that fuck over surfers with BS content and shady billing will mostlikly fuck webmasters over too.

But at least it would show who shaved the least, at the moment we are left to threads on GFY, not the best system in the world. Plus people like PIB would be stuck.

Dont let you post announcements and they looks guilty let you post and the truth is out. I think many shave big time becasue today they have a real benefit in shaving.

I have not patented this idea, so if anyone wants to run with it they are welcome.

I know the real story behind companies in this business, get real people and stop promoting programs based on PPS and who pays more per signup.

The biggest players in TGP/MGP all use recurring they just know how to pick a program.

EscortBiz has a point, too many choose a program for the wrong reasons. PPS, free content, FHGs, drinks at a show, he's a cool guy on the boards and more BS.

He's looking for a good jerk off on a $1 a day basis, look at the content on the site, the way it appeals to the surfer, the way it's organised, how good the "Jerk Off" experience is. Then decide if you want to send traffic to the site.

ppl paying $40 per sale..

10 sales -> 400costs for the program owner
10 sales -> $50 income for the program owner

$350 are missing.. k some will rebill (even if 70% of them rebill they still made no cent) ... so they've to shave

recurring rocks... ccbill .. no shavings

10 sales -> $300 for program owner

why do you say $50 ? mabye 300 - 50 for content, 14% billing costs, office and stuff.

i meant 40 dollar for a $5 trial for example..

also program owners get the exits, upsells, email they collect from the paysites.

i think it's quite fair.

The only thing thats hard to understand is the $25 - $35 per trial programs or even $40 per trial

I think this is about an industry needing to mature a bit more. This could be the activity of a trade association. That is testing for cheaters. What you described might be a violation of the TOS for many sponsor programs?

A trade association could have a list of unifying principals that member subscribe to, including sponsors. And sponsors that subscribe are listed as such and agree to the blind testing.

I think the need to cheat is built in with the high payouts. That's been said over and over again. I like revshare. Problem is, I still make more with the high payout sponsors than with getting revshare to work well.

I don't think the police would react here?? I think they would say its a civil matter or fuck off you perv porn scum? We're not thought highly of in the US. Like the governent is not out to protect the little guy in the porn industry.

Your idea would flush out cheaters I think. Can you get enough webmasters to organize the effort???

There was a flap over PIB about six months ago and they're still around to have another one. They just put the site back together after the hack and continue on. I doubt if this latest will really bury them???

Appreciate your thoughts and effort to improve our situation. This industry appears to be very much the good ole boy network. Know your sponsors personally and party with 'em, work with 'em and get you shaving level set low. There are always exceptions. There are sponsors that don't shave. Efforts to out those that do will only help.

Programs paying flat rate "must" be shaving.. Being so please come over and sign-up for our recurring program

Flat rate programs that pay $30/$35 DO NOT have to shave. It's all about volume. The more sign-ups overall the more they will earn.

It's easy to see who shaves if you have the traffic.
