Webmasters and Sponsors, would this work?
It seems every week we get another expose of another Sponsor shaving. Along with a lot of hot air, gas and little else.
So would this work?
Get 20 webmasters together to start it off, set up a site which we will call "honest_sponsor.com", on a message board style which once established will charge membership.
Start signing up to sponsors programs. Send as useless traffic as possible to the sponsor for 1-4 weeks, then in one week sign up with 20 webmasters on one referral code. Screen capture the sign up and scan the CC statement.
On the site will be a log of the programs signed up to and the results. People will see if one week spikes with 20 extra sign ups.
No comments on cheating or shaving will come from the sites owners, just comments from the board. Therefore alleviating the threat of legal action. Should any one threaten such action, you have all the proof, which you can take to the police.
So tell me why it can't work or where it needs improving. With the help of a lawyer I think it could be a winner.
Obviously the board could also be about webmaster networking and education.
It's the bare bones I'm looking for questions, answers and comments.
