I have a '65 mustang, but I'd like to own an STI as well... STI's are super fast, but nothing beats a classic as far as style.

I have a 1990 and when ever I drive it, everyone wants to race. What is the big deal with other drivers need to pass a mustang?

I like my jeep better...no risk of getting a speeding ticket.

i see the awd launch against some v6 mustangs has gone to your head.. you can build a 10 second 5.0 with less than a couple thousand bucks. and your $35,000 got you in the 12's? and what cheap mods are there for a wrx besides gutting your downpipe? that is if you really do have the car, lets see a pic of your engine bay with three nickels on the intercooler. or are you just an "internet racer"?

im not saying the wrx isnt a great car, but it pisses me off when idiots get a good car and think they can beat every ford or chevy on the road.

I almost bought a Corvette last year. $70k. Red. Sexy as hell. Then it hit me like a rock - I was picking up Lightspeed at the airport that night and it had NO FUCKING TRUNK.

I paid $26k for my Mach 1. Why pay three times as much for something with no back seat and no trunk? Perfomance? Eat me. I have Honda CBRxx1100 that will destroy any car on this board.

The hatch in my Vette will hold enough luggage for two people. It's never a dollar to dollar thing either ...

I have a CBR954RR myself ... I believe it's faster than a CBRxx1100 .. Isn't that a touring bike and not balls to the walls sports bike? Huggles Supra is as fast if not faster than my bike.. Becareful what blanket statements you make.

Don't know where you're getting your basis from. This thing will out-race any stock vehicle under $100,000, and give the supercars a run for their money.

Saleen S281 supercharged. 516 HP.

No match for a Lingefelter Z51 Corvette. And don't give me it's cheaper .. Who cares? You never lose a race and go "But I spent less" .. unless you're racing Civics maybe.

Put a 10.5 dot tire on my buddy Jerrys small block and tear apart anything on the street. Its a 306" I built for him last year. Bring on all the vettes ya got fellas. Its a bracket car on a throttle stop dialed at 9.99 but ran 8.60's off the stop in good weather

1997-2004 Corvette Twin Turbo LS1, ZO6
427 CID 725 BHP / 650 lbs-ft of torque

0-60 MPH 3.2 seconds with street tires
1/4 mile 9.50 @ 145 MPH with street tires
Estimated top speed 230+

I believe that'll eat up Huggle's Supra on the highway.

Derek, the previous owner, has a buddy with a Z51 Vette ... According to Derek, hands down the Vette would win ;)

Yeah, but you'd look funny getting towed away for Vehicle inspection on the street .. We're basically talking street legal here.

Well there ya go. But on the same hand, you're not likely to come across many beasts like that on the street .. It's possible, but not all that practical.

Z51 Corvette you can drive daily, and it's even got a LPE warranty.

Come to the south side of Chicago on saturday night and watch some 10k dollar street races. Plenty of monsters.

Never seen the street races in Chicago .. But the one's in Fort Worth and Austin kicked some serious ass .. Some wicked cars there for sure.

There's deffinetly a lot of fast cars areound. For me though, it's not all about speed. My Vette is bone stock. No intention to modify.

I'd rather drive a 13 second vette than an 8 second mustang. That's just me though.

There's deffinetly a lot of fast cars areound. For me though, it's not all about speed. My Vette is bone stock. No intention to modify.

I'd rather drive a 13 second vette than an 8 second mustang. That's just me though.

Don't you mean "Lingenfelter"? ...but with the package add-on, you're looking at over $100,000; my original claim was "out-race any stock vehicle under $100,000".

And judging from the performance specs on supercars.net for the 2000, the Saleen would slaughter it, but I admit I don't really agree that the Lingenfelter would only do 0-60 in 4.5 secs.
