Looks like there's a few that can kill you.

Lots of non-venomous snakes down there too though, so hopefully that is the case here.

Did this happen in Parkland? If so head over to Coral Springs Medical Center now, I have lived in Parkland since 1972, tons of Rattle and cottonmouths, with that size bite I would go now!

I use 2 mess around with them some I was in High school, I was very lucky. When I went into the Army, went 2 Fort Polk La. had more classes on snakes than the M14. water moccasin or cotton mouth are some bad ass snakes they will attact you. one of the most aggressive snake in the world

I know they went to the hospital already, but if that was a snake bite my guess it was a poisonous one. I can't think of any non poisonous snakes in Florida that have fangs to leave marks like that. Fangs on snakes are used to inject poison, they arn't there to chew on stuff.

Really sucks their not sure what bit her. Will make the hosipitals job a lot harder. Hope she ends up being ok.

If that happened to me, i would first call 911 then while i am waiting for the ambulance I would post pics on GFY.
I could prob get a good 5 posts in before the ambulance arrived.

never realized that, but I was also thinking of snakes native to Florida. I used to catch snakes all the time when I was a kid, rat snakes black snakes and so on. Got bit a lot but lucky none had fangs

I have to agree with Loryn on this ... hell i'd probly pose for pics first too ... obviously it would depend on wether I was already feeling an effect and on the color and feeling of the tissue around the puncture wound ... which in this cas appeared fine.

What are you talking about? I don't know about your city but here in Florida they are required to treat you in emergency situations with or without health insurance.

The county picks up the tab. The hospitals here now actually prefer the non insured patients in the ER because they can bill more money for the care given to the county than they can to private insurers.

I agree. I pray that she is okay, of course i do I love the girl. She means a lot to me. I just didn't want people thinking that Rene would care more about getting attention on the board than the health of Jenn. That is all!!
