I don't understand why people are so against same-sex marriages... love is love and commitment is commitment whether or not you are straight or gay. I honestly believe that no one has the right to tell people they can't be married based on their sexual preference. Gay and Lesbian couples deserve the same right as straight couples...health benefits, adoption rights and so on and so forth. I honestly believe that legalizing same-sex unions will probably lower the already high divorce rate we have in this country...all americans are equal and deserve to have the same rights...
