photoshop question

I am making a template. I decided to slice the graphics for different reasons. The problem is that I can't choose gif as the output format for the slices. I tried every GIF preset but it always comes out as jpg. WTF. Help.

that is odd. I stopped using photochop for slices because my version would randomly move or delete slices sometimes. I usually make everything in photoshop for the plugins and then slice it and output it with fireworks. Sorry I can't be more help.

If you're using a ripped version of PS then sometimes the .gif export extension isn't available.
