It really depends on your approach of advertising with them. If you're doing only exact matches, then I would suggest as many keywords as possible that stem off your primary keywords.

ex: [teen sex] [teen sexy] [teen sex 18] [teen sex girl], etc...
where "teen sex" is your stemmed word.

But if you're doing broad or phrase matches, then you'll get the same effect with just a couple keywords. So it really depends on your approach with Adwords.

I would not recommend more than 10. I usually use 5 to 10 and for me that works good.
