PS How to I anchor text to a corner in an action?
Damned if I can find a method that looks correct.
Help, please. I want to add my url to a batch of images that may vary in size and orientation. Thanks ![]()

Dude, sounds like you need a book on photoshop. Am going by memory here as the comp i am on doesnt have ps.
First make your watermark text and store it in any format with a transparent background, i use tiff. Then open a sample target image to make the action, start recording. Open the text/watermark pic, cntrl a and cntrl c to copy it to the clipboard, then close it. Then cntrl v on the target pic, this will paste the text in the center of the pic on its own layer. Then layer align right and layer align bottom, then you can use the arrow keys to nudge it into exact position. Thats it, you can flatten the image or save or whatever else in the action. This can be done on any of the 4 corners and either horizontal or vertical by using the different align and rotate commands. I have 10 or 12 different actions i use for this. As with anything in ps there are lots of ways to do this, but there are advantages to using a separate text/watermark pic this way. You can swap out different designs or text, just change the file names, the action will call the same thing each time. Also you can vary the size of the text on the result by changing the dpi of the target pic at the beginning of the action (or you can call a separate "change dpi" action and have many of these made up just swaping the proper one into place before batching) or simply using diff size text in the watermark pic...... But one final thing, if its exclusive content its gonna get stolen as soon as you put it on the net................... |
