I stayed at the Sheraton Elk Grove a few nights ago. Nice room, got it on Hotwire cheap. High speed is an extra $10/day.

#1 best bet, the ritz carlton, could be booked so best to check early

2nd, the drake.

3rd....get one of those 2.

cheaper and sure to be a room....embassy suites or hilton (same company...didn't you know?)

top 2 for sure have highspeed, the others im pretty sure, check the site if you decide on one of those.

Sandman is right on with the W Hotel, I like the one on West Adams more than Lakeshore Drive, the one on LSD was formally a Holiday Inn, and after that, a Days Inn.

Depending on where the funeral is, I can recommend a number of hotels in the Chicagoland area with high-speed internet, and keeping in mind what kind of $$$ you want to spend. Canadian dollar doesn't buy you as much as you would hope it would.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend's mom.

If your staying for the weekend, (May 21st - May 23rd) keep in mind thats the weekend of the largest convention of the year in Chicago (The restaurant
convention.) and a lot of Hotels are bookend up.

It also happens to be the weekend of our Midwest Adult Webmaster Gathering (MwAwG )
So if you do find yourself in the City on Saturday with nothing to do that night, May 22nd, we'd love you to drop in.

Or even on Friday, a bunch of us are getting together for dinner and hitting the bars.

The Zanzibar Motel on 81st and Stony Island comes with cheap whores stocked in the minibar.

If you are looking for softer sheets and more expensive whores I would recommend The W on Adams. The problem with most hotels in Chicago is that they haven't been revamped for this decade so you are sleeping on 1990's mattresses even in the top line hotels. With both the W's you don't have this problem.
