10 Bucks per gallery is out there, I just rather not drop names that will cause further insult to people I try and help in keeping a steady bar for there creative efforts.

i could see $10 for a simple thumb table with a Splat>Edges applied to an outer frame and an extremely simple logo.. i've seen hundreds of those. they can't take more than 10 minutes to make, chop and code. anything more complicated than that and $10 SHOULD be a fucking insult to whomever is charging it.

Just reading around somethis morning and now gallery designers are gettin there asses torn up.

The real reason there asses are getting torn up is because the price is so cheap there is no fucking respect for the effort.

And you can bet right now some new designer trying to make a name for himself is slogging way large amounts of over time and detailing for a lousy 10 bucks per.

I feelbad for them guys and just want em to see that a matter respect is not earned when your getting raped.

Mostly these designers don't know what they are doing, sorry. 99% of $10 galleries are made quick (possibly even templated) and won't convert very well. Especially when it comes to galleries you need to be specific.

And oneliners like "don't have the player hate the game" we have seen enough here..LOL =)

1) Wrong, no templates galleries all made from scratch all custom based on client requirements no matter how specific those requirements maybe.
2) All design work done by us is now fully supervised by us (westerners) and represents our own collective know how which has come from over 10 years in the industry.
3) It's not about $10 galleries being made quick, but have the resources to delivery a speedy solution that works.

For now though paying them pennies will work, however this discussion is not so much about price but respect. Realising what respect is and being a chump is not easy.

Any half decent designer will soon stop charging pocket change for his work. If you valuate your time and have mouths to feed $10 bucks for even moving your finger is cheap.
I don't think even someone in Asia can say that decent custom designed tgp is worth $10 or less. It's waaaaay to cheap.

Erm, who cares if people are charging $10 for galleries.

They're either 1) low quality galleries or 2) Happy with the time vs. income that they are making creating those galleries.

Maybe they're happy with the money they're making, maybe they feel that if they raised their price they wouldn't get as much business.

Either way,

Create superb galleries, post examples in pertinent threads, and you'll get business.

I've payed up to $75 per gallery design, other people do too.

You won't get more business by constantly bitching at the people that charge less than you, spend that time constructively creating a better gallery portfolio.

I hope this last part is not directed at me.

I for one am one of the only gallery makers around here who has raised his prices and has not had to stoop to dropping them to extreme levels to continue business...that can't be said by some of the others around here...in fact I have raised my prices twice since January.

I am booked right now and have been steady booked since January with some of the biggest companies in this biz.

I don't need respect or recognition, I saw a challenge that wasn't being met by any others on this board so I threw my gauntlet down.

Anyway, don't wanna piss with you not even sure if you were pissing with me but this whole thing of charging less than $10 per gallery is utterly fucking ridiculous...and then to go and drop it to $6.00 because you're so desperate to win that job....LOL too fucking funny.

You could have had it for $9.00 *which is still chump change*.

If you can win the job based on a low *INTRODUCTORY* price good for you. But if the only way you can keep it is by maintaining that ridiculously low price...good luck.

If I wanted to do galleries I would do galleries, I get tons of gallery requests and turn em away.

I think I have even referred Eros a couple times as a guy that does a great job

Again now that some folks are doing galleries for 10 Bucks they are getting clowned by not posting for gallery requests!

Just by not posting in certain threads and now peep's calling some of you "Wanna Be's" clearly your NOT getting a level of respect.

I am trying to point out one of the reasons why.

You charge like a cheap whore you get treated like a cheap whore.
