bought a ext hd have to take it back
Its fucking up my computer so I deleted the videoI had on it and now I am formatting it .Should I format it twice before I return it so the compusa people dont find porn on it ?

Make sure it's not a quick format - this just removes all of the indexing to the different files and folders so it appears empty, but the data is still there and can be recovered with a bit of work.
Don't use a magnet, that will fuck up the low level format and could physically damage the drive. |
