Whats all the facination with a beheading video.

I mean honestly, not to put anyone down, but there must be a ton of them on the internet. And yea, it's an american being beheaded, but theres ALOT of those movies on the internet.

How can you be so excited to watch an american, someones father killed.

Morbid Curiosity?

Well that cant be it, theres hundreds of them on the Ogrish.com site.

Do you need to watch it to make sure it really happened?

Theres a certain level of maturity playing here, this is a "war", and while it is not like WW2 or WW1 it IS a war.

Yes, it's bad, they beheaded a man, not even the fact that it was an american, just that they killed someone so grusomely.

But yea know, if WE as in America got invaded by some country, what do you think 99% of the hill billies in the USA would do.

I mean hell, look at our soldiers acting like they are.

I know no one cares really, but the group WANTS the video all over the internet.

All you guys are doing by linking it is making it more available on the internet. It will be saved and passed around.

His family said they hadnt seen it and didnt want to.

Would you feel shitty if in say 5 years when his daughter is 12 that she would see it accidentaly ?

Would you feel like shit if she found it because you saved that movie 5 years earlier and didnt give it another thought when you shared it with your "buddies" ?

Something to think about.

140 Million animals get beheaded screaming and kicking in agony and pain each day. 20% are fully conscious while the slaughterhouse workers start slicing them apart due to ineffective stunning or no stunning at all.

Hate to say it KRL but you might as well be talking to a brick wall bringing up the subject of animal rights/animal cruelty at GFY.

It was posted on Netpond and I pulled it.

I'm a censoring fuck, I know it. It just made me feel very queasy.

Then it made me want to nuke them if I had a nuke. Waves of pretty strong emotion, and I only watched until they showed the guys standing behind him.

It' so sickening. Regardless of the race, death is never a pretty sight to see.

It's not something you see everyday and it cuts through the bullshit censorship.
If more people saw this sort of video from both sides they might just be less ready to drop bombs and kill civilians.

It cuts through the numbers statistics and "collateral damage"

Not that these guys were Iraqi's but how do you feel about 10,000 Iraqi civilians dying from US bombs? Is it rational to be talking about nukes over one death when we have caused 10,000? why is it ok for us to kill 10,000 people but ok to nuke a whole country when Al Quaeda cells there kill one?

If it's ok to nuke Iraq over this

then is it ok to nuke America over this:

?

Just pisses me off to see such a base reaction without acknowledging our own culpability in other deaths.

Sure get pissed off and want to kill the killers, fuck it's crazy you can be yelling "god is great" while you behead someone with a kitchen knife.. they need to be removed from the meme pool, but over reaction is going to make it worse.

Yeah it is, it's just that I seriously doubt the ability of people to be able to seperate their emotions from their reasoning at a time when what we need is more measured and calculated responses and less knee jerk reactions.

i am no more and no less horrified over the beheading of a u.s. man than i am over the iraqi civilians we are killing. neither are responsible for the big picture of what's going on there, so other than venting hostility, it accomplishes nothing.

a life is a life - you can't go back and say "whoops, sorry - here's your 45 years of living back" when you make a mistake.

why is what happens to a person from one country and more - or less - important than another? that's not the way my parents taught me. it's called empathy. everyone should try a little.

KRL - i haven't eaten meat or bought leather in over ten years. i don't buy products that animal test. torture is a horrible thing, and i don't see why - if people have to have animal products - those animals can't be unconscious.
