i am no more and no less horrified over the beheading of a u.s. man than i am over the iraqi civilians we are killing. neither are responsible for the big picture of what's going on there, so other than venting hostility, it accomplishes nothing.
a life is a life - you can't go back and say "whoops, sorry - here's your 45 years of living back" when you make a mistake.
why is what happens to a person from one country and more - or less - important than another? that's not the way my parents taught me. it's called empathy. everyone should try a little.
KRL - i haven't eaten meat or bought leather in over ten years. i don't buy products that animal test. torture is a horrible thing, and i don't see why - if people have to have animal products - those animals can't be unconscious.
