that transmission doesnt just fit Pontiac GTO, but just about all GM cars and trucks that came with V8 engines and automatic transmissions. The TH-400 is a stronger version of the TH-350

(just trying to help you sell it)

Do you have a torque converter for it?

MrPheer,

I thank you for the help

I am sure it doesn't fit all GM cars/ trucks. Reason I say this is I was going to put this transmission in my 73 SS nova. but the frigging undercarage tranny mounts wouldnt line up with the bolt pattern on the nova. Also was going to put it my 79 Chevy truck the trans mounts lined up but it wouldnt match the bult pattern with the chevy engine, and the linkage was going to be a costom job.

Gabriel, yes I have a 10' torque converter. I beleive it is a 6800 stall speed.

The transmission came with the car. The car ran for just a short time. I parted out the body. Kept the engine for a while and slowly built it up then sold it. Still holding on to the trans. 4 moves and 17 years later I still have the damn transmission.. LOL

Also my uncle rebuilt it when it was rebuilt way back when.

He put a stage 2 shift kit in it. He said when it shifts to hold on. He now owns a transmission business and I can have him look it over and replace any seals that may have worn down from sitting over the years.
