Completely understandable! Because, you know, they make more money when they DO NOT APPROVE subscriptions.

If you would see my stats and comparaisons with CC processors that I have used over the 7 years I have been online, you would maybe keep yourself from being ridiculous.

I'd recommend taking some English classes, man. Fluency in the language will go a long way in helping you understand how ratios work.

For all I know, you can't read the language well enough to understand what you're seeing.

Typical.

I could see you were weak, but not as weak as this.

You can't argue anymore, so you now attack my english... I was hoping something better from you. I think I overestimated you.

Next time, when you have something to add in a thread, why don't you ask your mom to be sure it is not too stupid ?

Je suis désolé mec, je ne suis peut-être pas fort en anglais mais toi, peux tu seulement dire 2 mots de suite en français ?

I can argue with you in 5 different languages, and you ?

We have our own merchant plus accounts with CCbill, Epoch, and after our experience online over the last 6-7 years i have to say i would rather let CCbill or Epoch do the work than risk our merchant account for adult site memberships.

What a lot of people fail to understand is that its not the CC companies fault that up to 70% of surfers who try to join adult sites are declined its the fucking surfer who has either bad credit, no credit, an empty bank account, attempting fraud, using stolen cards or whatever, the list goes on and on.
The value of using CCbill or Epoch is that they have a huge data base of ADULT surfers, surfers who for one reason or another have tried to join sites and been turned down for fraud or some other reason and they are there 24 /7 so that if a surfer cannot for one reason or another access your site they can at least talk or e-mail someone while you are peacefully sleeping.

We used our merchant account to sell CDs and had no problems at all but when using it for Adult membership the shit hit the fan. Why because the company we used to scrub our surfers had software that listed primarily main stream traffic and not adult surfers, so fraud was very high. This was many years ago before Visa 1 % rule but it was enough to prove to us the value of online billing companies.

I understand its a real pain in the ass when a billing company turns up the scrub rate but due to the high % of dishonest surfers its inevitable im afraid

I can argue with you in two languages. However, I am fortunate enough that my native tongue is recognized as the predominate, universal language. I really have no need to be able to argue with you in any language other than English. Like it or not, that's the truth.

The facts of the matter are that you really need to back up your claims with facts. Words are only words.

I'll tell you one thing, there are some VERY large programs with much lower "form hits approval" ratios that would LOVE to get what you're complaining about.

You don't seem to want to go into detail. You can't blame CCBill (or praise them, for that matter) for your "Form hits approval" percentage. You simply can't. There are a lot of other issues that come into play.

Care to post an example URL?

Thanks for your answer.

Getting brilliant and productive replies is quite seldom here. Exept for mister Donovan's replies, of course.

Now, I understand all this but why was my approval rate much higher with Verotel then ? ( I know you can't answer, I am just asking out loud )

CCBill as been very good for me until 3 months ago. I then switched to Verotel but with Verotel's new TicketClub, it seems to be worst than everything else.

And, with both CCBill and Verotel, my chargeback ratio is well under 1%

I really look forward for new ways to bill surfers.

Here, CHMOD, let me repost something for you that I posted in another thread:

I am absolutely amazed at the lack of education in this industry. You mother fuckers are flat out stupid.

Consider a few things:

1. Dumb ass motherfuckers, have you noticed that the weather is getting VERY good lately? Surfers are going to the park, playing with their kids, fucking their girlfriends in the great outdoors. Does this mean traffic will go down? Not necessarily. Like you and I coming to GFY, surfers will still get their daily fix. But this time of year they're less likely to drag out their credit cards to join a site. It takes time to look through a member's area. A surfer may have a few minutes to click through to your site, but not as many are willing to spend the time looking at your member's section. Therefore, they're NOT joining, yet traffic may remain the same.

2. CCBill doesn't get paid the same amount of money when you DON'T make sales, now do they? Does it make ANY FUCKING SENSE to you that they'd purposely LOWER sales? You think Corvett takes a smaller paycheck this time of year? How about the other employees? Nope, they still need paychecks. The money to pay them is generated by YOUR site subscriptions.

3. I have some very powerful friends that do their own processing. THEIR sales are down right now too. And the funny thing is, their sales slumps just happen to follow the same "cycles" or "patterns" that mine do. One day sales ratios are FANTASTIC... the next day they're HORRIBLE. Again, consider the TIME OF YEAR.

The main reason you keep hearing: "CCBill ratios are way down for me" is really quite simple: EVERYONE WITH HALF A FUCKING BRAIN THAT'S WORTH A SHIT USES CCBILL!!

I read your answer in the other post. It was the first time I was reading something stupid from you. ( I usually like your posts )

There is nothing to be proud of. It really wasn't necessary to post this sad reply twice.

I have been in the industry long enough to know how my stats should be. And I know that what is happening now is not normal.

It is maybe time for you to consider that there are also some ( not many, but some ) brilliant people posting here.

Okay, listen: I've been ICQ'ing a few people I'm close to in the business with large member bases (20,000 + members). The one that has been able to pull his reports for me said they would give their first born to Satan (well, maybe not) for a 30% form hits approval rate. If you're getting that you should be happy.

You said you were doing better with others... where are those others now? Do you see what happened to other companies that try to "get ahead" by taking higher risks? How many processors have come and gone?

It is my opinion, and that of programs MUCH larger than me, that CCBill will be the last processor standing. You and I will be out of the game long before CCBill.

Things change, man. I'm very happy with CCBill. My numbers are very acceptable. CCBill has our long term, best interests in mind. You can take that to the bank. I know I do, every Monday morning.

One concession to make to you CHMOD:

You're right, my last few posts have been out of character and not as "useful" as many I've made in the past. I apologize for that. It's just that I get really annoyed by all the CCBill bashing going on lately. That's not an excuse, but it is the reason. I get annoyed when people don't seem to "get it". The answers are so obvious.

We all get frustrated when sales dip. And it's human nature to want to find someone to blame. But those that have been trying to pin their sales dips on CCBill are missing the boat. The answers lie elsewhere.

I don't have time to go into my strong opinions on what is causing these trends. Time of year, sophistication of surfers, and a few other things I'd rather keep to myself, are just a few.

But I have to also tell you that overall this year has been better for me than any other. When frustrating days come along all I have to do to cheer myself up is to simply have a look at the numbers for all of 2004 and compare those numbers to this time 1, 2, 3, or more years ago. They're MUCH better.

All apologies are accepted.

I understand that you can get frustrated by reading comments who may seem stupid.

I don't know how old you are, but with time, ( And it took a lot of time, beleive me - I was also very quick on the trigger - ) I learned to judge less quickly than I used to.

It is not that easy for a non english speaking persons to express themselves correctly and, too often, foreing people are treated like attards here.

As for the billing procedure, it is not that obvious in my mind. But you are maybe right, nobody really knows. And I get no decent answers from CCBill. That is why I post here. It sometimes makes things go faster.

Your explanations makes sense, the thing that is still strange is that this drop in my CCBill sales appeared all of a sudden 3 months ago. I had nothing to complain of in the past 2 years I have been with them.

It will be a glorious day when high risk procesors can slide scale the fraud checking until they are in close range of the 5% chargeback rate and take intelligent risks when they can. But i doubt that day will be ushered in by ccbill. but you never know!

Our ccbill signups have been down too, most seem to be declined at pre-auth yet they pass through iBill OK.

We will get one day with 2 or 3 signups then the next day have 15, there seems to be no pattern to it at all.
