I agree, Battus. When the thread takes a different direction and then someone replies to the original topic it makes them look stupid. Or if someone already answered the question (or gave the answer) and people jump in and are still guessing.

I read most of it, certain people who are responding in a thread just get skimmed, while others get passed over without much of a glance.

With threads longer than 2 pages though, I tend to skim faster and pay more attention to the last page, to determine where the conversation is headed.
