Here is the bad news ... just called Moneris and it seems that they DON'T process adult paysite. Can anyone that get confirmation that they do get in touch with me? ICQ 30975654

Only hope that the girl I talked with didn't know what she was talking about ...

Main question is not dollar value but this :)

Radik 06-18-2004 07:29 AM

uhm i've had adult approved for ages.. I helped build one of the original ecom companies, it was not full hardcore. Monaris is basicly royal bank and bmo's way of getting around the bank of canada shit.. they tried to merg bla bla

Nightly deposits.. problem is you now handle chargebacks so paperwork comes into play. You can store and rebill your own customers etc..

still for affiliates, we need ccbill to buy out my bloody company!

Braincash Fred 06-18-2004 09:11 AM

Anyone that talked with Moneris and get a positive answer, can you get me the name of the rep you talked with?

Moneris is EXTRMELY selective about any adult accounts that they do. We are setup as agents for them.

JMan, your email bounced back (the one in your sig). Can you email me at [email protected] - remove the two 'REM's - and I'll resend what I sent you.

spunkmaster 07-17-2005 01:03 PM

So does moneris do adult or not?

Varius 07-17-2005 01:05 PM

Moneris *were* a TERRIBLE company that cost us lots of cash about 6 years ago. Could be they have changed since then, but if not, avoid them like the plague :2 cents:

Bomber8888 07-17-2005 03:16 PM

Looking forward to hearing some feedback.. this would be great news for us! Could finally get rid of my U.S incorp!

there was a post on the first page of this thread that said that they were formed in 2000, how come they cost you money before they even existed?

TheDoc 07-23-2005 05:38 AM

Post 2000 :)

This is about the 5th time I have heard this exact same story. From what I can remember EVERY online adult merchant account in Canada has been shut down in the past. Even though the bank approved it and stated that online adult was fine. I would be very carefull, get your approval through VISA not the bank.

RegUser 10-03-2005 05:45 PM

so, other than moneris or myvirtualcard, who else can canadians use for Visa processing??????????????????
anyone else out there?

RegUser 10-04-2005 04:35 PM

Just updating this thread with a bit of current info regarding Moneris.

I spoke with their rep 'Blas' a short time ago and they're still accepting adult web-based transactions (he was actually checking out our site during our conversation and said no problems).

The one-time setup fee is now $500 (up from $400 mentioned earlier in the thread).

.21/transaction (under their E-Select Plus option pkg.)

Takes 10 business days to get an account set up and functioning.

We're giving them some consideration for our newer websites. With all the shit being handed down south of the border, we're anxious to bring as much of our website operations home to Canada and avoid the GWB dictatorship.

After inspection of our sites 2 weeks ago... they come back to us with a negative answer. We don't process adult sites. All the reps are a little confused about this but when you are going higher at Moneris, you will end with a negative answer.

It sounds to me as if their left ass doesn't know what their right ass is doing.
