i have a smith and wesson 910s right now. i'm looking for either a .45 caliber or a .40 caliber. so far i've been looking at the:

Smith and Wesson 99:
SW99

Heckler and Koch P2000 SK:
P2000 SK

and,

the Beretta 9000S:
9000S

keep in mind i want something small. less than 7 inches overall length. any suggestions?

small?

Then get the

-HK usp
or
Glock

The glock has the normal size and the small size.

Also look at the Sig.

Dont get any more clunky Smith and Wesson shit.

I prefer a .40 smith and wesson but the HK is a very fine gun. You should skip the handgun and take a look at the XM-8

Dude, glock all the way.

Beretta and Smith and wesson shouldnt even be on your want list..

Do you belong to a gun club?? Have you even shot and handled these guns in a comparison test??

There is no contest..

Do you have small hands like me, or are you a big dude with big hands?

Join a club on a trial first and rent the guns..

You'll find exactly what you like that way.

Ive shot almost all the good 9mm of intrest to me, and narrowed it down to three i really liked..

Bought two of em.

The Glock 19
The Sig P239

Both smaller 9mm's

They also come in 40 and 45 cal.

Great guns. But i do have small hands so they are fucking great..

If you have big hands that SIG that Ganjarus posted above is a kick ass gun.. I really liked that as well..

I also own a HK USP 40 cal.. Its a great gun.. But Im more of a 9mm fan.. HK makes great guns..

-Glock
-SIg
-HK

all about the same class in my opinion.. Its just personal preference really with em and how they feel in your hand when you shoot em..

The Sig P239 feels the best in my hands and I shoot it best.

But on other days I like the Glock..

id stick with one of the three brands.. Stay away from Smith and wesson and Sig, and Lugar and Ruger..

Clunk..

You get what you pay for.

Go join a club for a month or so that has all these guns avail to rent.. Shoot em all, and narrow it down.

I gaurentee you will agree with me that the Sig, the HK, or the Glock are the best to shoot..

45, dude, just not as fun to shoot.

Go 9mm or 40 cal.

YOu want something that you can potentially conceal and carry, or at least take with you in the car and hide..

The big ruger gun posted above is not practicle at all..
Plus that thing handles like a piece of shit..

So fucking clunky..

We arent in the 80's anymore.

Gotta Watch Snatch

-----
There's no pussy here, just a dose that'll make you wish you were born a woman. Like a prick, you are having second thoughts. You're shrinking . . . and your two little balls are shrinking with ya.
And, the fact that you've got "replica" written down the side of your guns. And, the fact that I've got "Desert Eagle point 5.0" written on the side of mine, should precipitate your balls into shrinking, along with your presence. Now . . . fuck off

The real question is what you want to do with it.
Do you want to drop some asshole who breaks into your house? Would you like to punch holes through your neighbors engine block?
Or would you like to pick off small animals that decide to shit on your bently?

The sig and the glock really handle similar i find...

Both really great guns...

But the Sig just LOOKS cooler I think..

Dont ya think??

The HK looks great too, but the Glock and the Sig are just great handlers.. More than the HK I think.. But my HK is a 40 and not a 9mm..

Price wise you arent gunna top the value of the GLock... I shit you not. But if you are willing to spend just a bit more the Sig is just as good with more model varieties and just look sharper..

But both my top 2 reconmendations.

Walther may be expensive for what it is though..

Maybe a great gun to shoot, but not to buy unless you are a collector of nice handguns or dont mind to spend the extra cash..

I dont know, but I assume its more..
I dont come across em as much.

Heckler and Koch P2000 SK:
P2000 SK

Buit of the three you listed its by far the best one..

Smith and Wesson 99:
SW99

Looks like a take off of the Glock...

The 6 years later American version...

Shit bro, go glock if you are lookin at that.

I know its good to buy American, but in this case Austrian is the better bet.

Rather than asking here, read the gun forums and go to your local shooting range to get the feel of the gun.

Sort-of what boneprone is saying.

Ive had lugers and Rugers and Smith and wessons jam on me several times in my life at the range..

Never have I had one of the "plastic" Sigs, Glocks, or HK's jam on me.

And thats not just me, that a pretty universal image they have.

Ive had lugers and Rugers and Smith and wessons jam on me several times in my life at the range..

Never have I had one of the "plastic" Sigs, Glocks, or HK's jam on me.

And thats not just me, that a pretty universal image they have.

I had a ruger jam on me once but that was only after I shot over 300 rounds through it. I think lack of cleaning had something to do with it...

Could be..

Maybe the cop with the lawsuit didnt do proper maintance on his glock is why is misfired or locked..

Glocks are good guns.. To give them an image that they are unreliable would be unfair..

Now . . . fuck off

I have been looking EVERYWHERE cant fucking find me a nice gold plated desert eagle. If youre gonna have a desert eagle, it should be gold, or chrome. god damn i want one.

I will agree with that. The cop probablly freaked out and forgot to take off the safety if it even had one. Regarldless Glocks are good but the they just feel weird when you shoot them. I just can't buy something made of plastic or polymer. Would rather shoot a 1911 or like above the 5.0 desert eagle. Lots of bang but also lots of buck.

also with how many Glock pistols that are in service in law enforcement eventually something was bound to malfunction. i think that's just a question of numbers. they are one of the most common service guns.
