I got married for good health insurance
I was with hubby for 7 years before we got married.. I told him if I had to listen to my parents one more year about getting married I was going to kick his ass..so we had a quickie cheapo wedding in the backyard and a big ass party afterwards...now I own half of everything... too bad I paid for most of everything..

I think women are more concerned about it because society says after a certain age, they're not attractive enough to find a mate any longer. Female youth is prized.
Statistically men have a far greater chance of getting married at just about any age and getting re-married after a divorce. Hehe I went to a "buck and doe" that we held for my best friend last night.
A buck and doe is a party we throw and we invite all the friends of the bride and the groom and their families. It's basically like a fundraiser to help the couple pay for at least part of their wedding. I was working the cash last night and I think I sold a few thousand in drink tickets alone. I think I drank about $100 worth of booze myself
All my friends seem to be married now or in the midst or getting married. We're 27-29 which seems to be the average age now of people around here. I say get married when you are ready and you know you have the right person. I just always recommend that you go out and get wild and crazy for a couple of years before you decide to settle down. Too many of my buddies married their high school sweethearts and never had the chance to play the field. Then 5 years later they are bored as shit...
Anyways I've found the right person and I am taking the plunge. Wish me luck!

marriage from what i have seen and heard is a separate job in and of it self that can fluctuate per second. i have too much going on in my life to where i could not, nor do i want to, dedicate that much time to a person. it wouldn't be fair to either party.
then you have divorce which is too easy to obtain and lest not forget the financial problems that occur with a divorce. no thanks...i have worked too hard to share what i have earned.
