i just recently backed up my laptop and did a complete formta/reinstall with the system recovery disk. thats the only thing i can think of.

Try this one. It will delete all the bullshit installed for your browser. But if you select everything it will also delete all plugins like flash so dont select the plugins you need.

It comes with Norton AntiVirus, Norton Utlities and a lot more.

Why people opt for free, buggy software instead of spending a little cash to protect their PC is beond me.

I Love formatting my hard drive, I always build it better with new things I have learned... as long as you remember to back everythign up you need! I save everything I can just so i know i didnt forget anything CD's are cheap

And after you cleaned up install spywareblaster that will block all new spywares trying to install


Do a defrag once in a while that helps a lot too

Buy a new drive and mirror what you have onto 1 partition. Make another partition for a clean install and start moving over to it.

When your absolutely sure you don't need any of your old stuff, delete the partition your old install is on then reclaim the space with something like Partition Magic.

This works best if you have a seperate partition for your work, media files, webserver content, backups, etc.
