7 month old teething help? - GoFuckYourself.com

we have tryed baby ambasol and teething tablets, both really dont help. she is losing her little mind. non stop screaming, hence me and mom are losing our minds.

any remidies? any advice? im up for anything, so long as it dont involve a witch doctor (and fuck at this point i might even give that a shot)

Wow man, just went through that, my youngest just turned one. We used infant Motrin about 1/2 hour before she went to bed and it worked. It can be mind numbing and frustrating when you cannot sooth your screaming child. Try that. I called our Pediatrician and he said infant Motrin was ok to use for the teething pain. Good luck.

this isnt before bedtime. this is all day. does the motrin put them to sleep? i dont want to knock her out, shes way 2 much fun. i just dont want her little gums to hurt.

Have you tried letting her gnaw on a teething ring from the fridge/freezer? My kiddo worked best on teething gel combined with a teething ring from the fridge along with massages

she wont chew on those, she will play with them, and gets a kick outta the fact they are cold, but its just more like "ooo a new toy for me!" and we have shown her, rubbed it across her gums and held it there. shes not going for it.

There are several things that you can try to help ease the pain of teething; some work and some don?t, but most parents agree they?re always worth a try. Teething rings, water filled and chilled rubber teething toys; mom and dads fingers can all provide counter pressure that can sometimes bring relief. Offering your baby a cold bottle of water can also help. If sucking on the bottle bothers your child, offer a cold cup of water.

Cold food has also been found to be helpful by some parents. Chilled applesauce, yogurt and pureed peaches may be more appealing to your baby and also more nutritious than a chilled teething ring.

When nothing else helps, you can also turn to the Infant Tylenol. Before giving your child Infant Tylenol (acetaminophen) always check with your doctor first. Your doctor will tell you if it?s all right and what the proper amount is to give your baby. Baby Orajel and other teething pain medicines that are applied to the gums can also provide some relief. Some parents say the Baby Orajel type products work great, while other parents will say it doesn?t. Also check with your doctor before giving this type of over the counter pain reliever to your baby.

The teething process will come and go just like so many other things with new babies. Keep trying different things until you find what provides the best relief for your child.

Note: Before trying any of the suggestions listed above or any other type of home remedy it is highly recommended that you contact your pediatrician first. You should follow your pediatricians advise first before trying anything mentioned on this site or on any other site. Your child's doctor knows what is best for your child.

Have you tried an ice-cold almost frozen wet washcloth or the gel-filled teething rings you can buy and freeze or refrigerate? Often massaging the baby's gums help.

If she's cried alot she may have trapped gas in her tummy causing her to have colic. Best remedy I found for colic was herbal peppermint tea.

I used to give my son a piece of melba toast I think it was called. It's in the kids section. He would jusst knaw on it and would make him feel so much better.
Teething rings didn't work, but a wet washcloth did.

If she doesn't like chew toys try using the teething gel and let her gnaw on anything (apart from sweet stuff) and try distraction techniques, leave the baby medicine until bedtime so you can all get a good night's sleep

DO NOT give your child ambasol! It eats away the enamel and eventually the tooth will start to decay. I used to give my kids frozen eggos and it worked. Try a popsicle or something cold. Let me know if it works and good luck...AND STAY PATIENT!

One more thing you can try , my daughter was a screamer. She wouldn't sleep in her bed without sounding like she was dying, so we set her up in the car seat and put her on top of the dryer for a little bit and she loved the vibrations and always fell asleep

Try it I shit you not it'll work! Just PLEASE make sure you latch her in!

For sleep time try tying a big sprig of lavender under the hot water tap and let it run into the bath, afterwards you can tie it to the outside of the cot, very soothing and non-toxic

If you are really desperate, this is the old wives tale - old school method that really does work (I'm told)...

Dip your finger in whiskey and rub it on the gums... it numbs the gums, doesn't do any damage to the gums, is not enough alcohol to have any negative effect on the baby at all, and it might might might make them a little sleepy too... which is always a good thing when they are miserable.

My child liked the gel rings from the freezer. I wouldnt suggest whiskey, that would burn the sensitive gum tissue.
I even used my finger to massage the gums and help push the tooth through.
I feel for you and the baby.... it is a trying time!!

also, becareful with frozen food, the baby could choke.

We used it during the day also, did not put her to sleep just eased the pain.
