how to charge per minute

can anybody tell me a processor i could use to charge per minute on my own camsite? i want to stop videochathosting on ifriends and start doing it myself; i'm sick of losing 50%, especially when almost all of the traffic i bring there myself. and since clickcash is so fucked up, i never get the 100% from the signup that i'm supposed to get. what are my options in terms of charging per-minute on my own site?
thx

but doesn't CCbil only do recurring memberships? i don't think you can charge per minute.... or maybe i don't really understand what a "dialer" is...

CCBill has a per-minute via dialing a 900# or having the computer dial a certain number. PayWide offers the same feature. I can get you setup through PayWide which doesn't charge as much as CCBill (we both use the same system).

You can send me a email if you want to
gfy AT paywide.com

You can also get your own 900# and do it yourself. You'd have to get a programmer to set it up for you.

that's the whole reason i'm sick of ifriends. they do NOT CONSISTENTLY give me 100% on the traffic i bring in (my signups). i am a serious earner for them, so the difference in one client for one evening could be $500 instead of $1000. it has happened TOO MANY TIMES. and i'm sooo fucking sick of it. i could be making a lot more with my own traffic, instead of bringing it to ifriends, you see what i mean?

Do a search on Google and you'll find a ton of them that can set people up with a 900#. Here are some.
http://www.paypercall.com/adultline.html
http://www.best900.com/
http://www.nwnt.com/
I don't know anything about these companies. So I don't know if you should trust them or not.

Most of the people that I know have the customer pay ahead of time for so many minutes to do a live chat/video.

Personally, I would do what my friends do. Charge the customer on their credit card for a block of minutes. So they can buy 10, 20, 30 or what ever minutes you want to charge them.

You could use both credit cards and 900#. If you get your own 900#, you'll be paying out alot for the setup and programming. So only get your own if your bringing in good money. Otherwise if you want to go the 900# route, your best bet would be through CCBill or PayWide. The only problem with going through CCBill or PayWide is your going to be paying out a percentage that you wouldn't have to pay if you had your own 900#. PayWide charges 5% - 8%. I think (not sure) CCBill charges 11% - 14%.

I might be able to set you up through PayWide to charge per minute via credit card. I'd have to look into it though.

i just called CCbill and they can't charge per minute. all they do is charge a fixed amount and you have to convert it yourself into minutes (e.g. he paid me $50, he gets 10 minutes with me). what i want is a system just like ifriends, where the person comes in and immediately starts getting charges per minute, like $5, not .30 cents with a dialer. the more and more i read about dialers, the more bogus they sound. i want a FIXED RATE that EVERYBODY pays to access my video and i don't want them to have to prepay...

You can setup a 900# so that the customer can enter the website to view the video and then disconnect the customer when he/she hangs up. That what the 900# that both CCBill and PayWide does. It allows access to the website until the person hangs up the phone to the 900# or disconnects through the dialer (if you want to use the dialer method).

You can see how the 900#/dialer thing works at

Good luck. I've asked this same question here before and got a bunch of software solution spams but nothing that was designed for ONLY what you are talking about. Everything out there is some mod on another system.

I can get PayWide to set you up to charge per-minute via credit card and/or online checks. Do you happen to have your own merchant account? Send me a email

The only way to do that is to get your own merchant account that allows open ended billing and it's almost impossible to find a processor like that.

Otherwise, you'll have to do what everyone else does and charge in blocks of time.

Ifriends charges by the minute so there must be a way to set it up.

What do you mean a 900 number? To dial with your modem? What if they have broad band ?

ifriends can do this because they have the money leverage. you cannot charge open ended per minute without doing at least $500k or so per month in processing. we just started doing it with live web friends but are very conservative about it -- we cut people off after a bit of spending.

an individual cam operator cannot find a merchant account which will allow this. I would suggest either a dialer or just doing blocks of time, or deal with ifriends if that's what you're used to..

it just doesn't make sense to me why an individual cam operator wouldn't be able to do this? fine, put limits on it....but per/minute sales should be possible...is this asking too much? we can put a man on the fucking moon but we can't charge per minute, WHAT THE FUCK?

What I was thinking is either the computer dial the 900# and get access to the website or the customer can just call it, get a pincode, enter that into the website (which logs the ip address with the phone number that is connected to the 900#. The customer would remain connected until the customer hangs up (and doesn't let that ip address in anymore). There are probably several different ways of making it work with a 900#. It would require a programmer that knows what he/she is doing.

dabomb would have to get his own 900# to charge what he wants per minute. Alot of times the company you get the 900# from also has a programmer that can do the programming involved and supply the needed hardware/server to make the whole system work. I would recommend talking to a couple of 900# service providers to see what they think would work the best.

Netbilling does pay per minute billing. I know they process for several networks such as Camz.com and Peekshows.

dabomb would have to get his own 900# to charge what he wants per minute. Alot of times the company you get the 900# from also has a programmer that can do the programming involved and supply the needed hardware/server to make the whole system work. I would recommend talking to a couple of 900# service providers to see what they think would work the best.
why even go through a 900#? it sounds really complicated...it's easier to just have them put in their credit card info, right? i mean, the typical guy is going to be online anyways, and then come to my site....when does the 900# come into play? what if they are using their phone line already for internet access and cannot call any number.... i guess i am not understanding the technicalities...

p.s. i'm a girl i want to do this for my own camsite instead of getting pimped out of 1/2 my earnings....

Does your chat have audio? You could set it up so that you're speaking to them on the phone (via a 900 number), and you give them a password to access the video stream...

so i called netbilling, talked to karen, and found out that there are no more merchant accounts being offered to adult businesses?? so without a merchant account you can't use netbilling...
