Best Spyware & Adware Removal Tools?

Any suggestions?

I have a shitload, after going to a bunch of thumb tgp sites to try to build a database for submission, so much shit was forced onto my main machine here in my office. It's getting pathetic.

My homepage was changed. So, I changed it back. It still goes back to another homepage, one with spyware on it.

Even when I click on a thread link in this forum, it will send me to another page with more spyware instead of the thread.

Fucking spyware.

I've ran ad-ware 6.0, spysweeper & Spybot search and destroy. They will not kill this shit.

http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html will block out alot of active x spyware shit, but as much as removing spyware, i normally use spybot, have you tried going to program fiels and deleteing shit that doesn't seem like it belongs there?, i wish ie would have an option to show you all loaded dll's so you know exactly where each spyware bullshit is

Yea, I uninstalled a bunch of shit in program files, some wouldn't uninstall and some re-installed themselves when I rebooted.

Thanks for the spyware blaster link, Im running it now.

Reading is fundamental.

I already have adaware. It's not working.

Fucking spyware keeps re-installing itself everytime I reboot.

This is fucking stupid.

csshredder or close to that is pretty aggressive. What I just did was control alt delete tehn put everything that is running into Google and see if it is spyware. Cleaned me up pretty good.

I've got all tools listed in this thread and they only work until I reboot. My homepage still gets jacked after a few minutes after I scan, and Im still getting popups.

All I wanted to do was create a database of thumb tgp's for business purposes and my machines get fucked over. I can only imagine what surfers have to go through just to rub one out. I'm sure the sites in question are scaring off and pissing off ALOT of what-would-be loyal surfers.

"Close" is for horseshoes. You should have posted again to correct
your spelling error and/or post a link so they don't have to go
hunting for it. If you don't know wtf it's called then your post
is pretty much useless.

Nismo,

CWShredder (takes care of the homepage hijackers)
Computer Associates free online virus scanner
Spybot

Those three tools keep a machine happy.

It's not possible to "force" anything on an updated WindowsXX system.
your making click errors...your clicking "Yes" on security warnings to get
most spyware and the rest comes [usually] in free installs like free/shareware
and Java applets.
Spybot is great but it can't deal with what you have...the newer homepage
hijacks. You need CWShredder for that shit.

The spyware is getting smarter hence your homepage hijack. CWShredder and
Spybot are both capable of updating their "known spyware" databases. Both
are also free as is Computer Associates virus scanner.

- First run CWShredder and kill that shit (check for updates first)
- Second do the online virus scan
- Third do Spybot once more (check for updates first right?)
- Forth, when you see security warnings popup make damn sure you
know where you are...if @ M$ doing updates then everything is kosher
if @ Computer Associates doing virus scan everything is again kosher.
If your @ Al's fuckingbitches.com you don't want to be clicking "Yes"
to anything they have planned for you.

Also surfing the Web you should never click "Yes" to security warning popups.
They all want to hump-your-leg.

If, for some odd reason, your WindowsXX isn't updated with all critical
updates showing then do so or you won't be ahead of the spyware, hacker,
and homepage hijackers. M$ has updates up within hours of a new bastard
showing up that is causing users grief...so get the updates.

I stand (well sit) corrected.

I got toolbar loaded yesterday and I did not ignore a security warning and I get updated pretty regularly. A friend suggested I get hahahahahahas XP service Pack 2 and is it pretty tight. Since you seem knowledgable do you agree?

Try going to mcafee and using the stinger tool to remove it. It has worked for me in the past.

Definitely. We are at the mercy of our creator. In other words we simply
have to download all criticals. It's their kernel and they know it best. The
reason they are marked "critical" is they want users to understand that it's
a mandatory thing and without it you may be in a whole world of hurt.

Especially the service packs. All the others are modifications of a lesser
"plug in the backdoor" (or whatever), the service packs are fixes for probs
that are so sever a simple tweak on a line or two won't do it...they have
to disassemble WindowsXX and put it back together
again to get the fix in.

I should also add that when service packs show up it's a general rule-of-thumb
to let it slide for a month or two. M$ can let the packs go before all the bugs
are worked out so let others suffer the crashes n' shit and when a month or two
goes by the service pack will be fixed so it's good and fully functional.

SP2 for XP has been out long enough...it's a keeper.
