I got toolbar loaded yesterday and I did not ignore a security warning and I get updated pretty regularly. A friend suggested I get WindowsXP service Pack 2 and is it pretty tight. Since you seem knowledgable do you agree?
Definitely. We are at the mercy of our creator. In other words we simply
have to download all criticals. It's their kernel and they know it best. The
reason they are marked "critical" is they want users to understand that it's
a mandatory thing and without it you may be in a whole world of hurt.

Especially the service packs. All the others are modifications of a lesser
"plug in the backdoor" (or whatever), the service packs are fixes for probs
that are so sever a simple tweak on a line or two won't do it...they have
to disassemble WindowsXX and put it back together
again to get the fix in.
