Vertical or Horizontal Toplists?
I think that vertical toplists work much better... and the surfers click on them more... especially if it's in a column beside your content...
Although on some sites I use a horizontal toplist that is located either at the top or bottom of the page... Which do you use or think is better?

make use of multiple toplists
rank them by both uniques in, and clicks produced, in several places on your site the more toplist clicks you send out, the better your prod on traffic partners sites |

Diagonational might actually work... I've seen some sites that put the gallery text or thumbs in shapes or pictures... wavy, pyramid, circle, etc...
this actually might get the surfers attention keep them awake and active... it moves their eyes around instead of having just linear, boring patterns... dunno... but in art class I was told it's important to use shapes and lines to direct the viewers eyes...
