4. How fast is the T-Mobile HotSpot service?
Each T-Mobile service location has a full T1 connection, which provides users with speeds of up to 1.5 Mbps. The Wi-Fi 802.11b technology allows for speeds up to 11 Mbps, but throughput is governed by the speed at which the device is connected.

btw, cable modem accounts are usually upstream capped at around 10-20% of downstream. So, if you have a 3mb connection, the upstream is limited to 300k.
