Sick and tired of all the adware!

I have some hard to find spyware / adware on my computer. Explorer doesn't even have to be running and ads popup all the time. I am ready to just abandon my machine and get a new one, but I bet it will get infected with these fucking ads again.

Anyone recomend something to clean my system, besides the trusty.... format c:\

go here and grab Shoot The Messenger.

Also, Spybot: Seach & Destroy is a great tool for ridding your PC of crap.

Once you are done, do yourself a favore and go to Mozilla and grab the suite, use the e-mail and browser. You'll have a lot less headaches.

Tried it and it doesn't get this one out I guess. I tried doing a few things, and even since posting on this thread, I have had 7 popup ads matchmaker.com, and others and even funnier... an ad to get rid of the adware on your computer....

Now that's fucking funny

Stop being a naive AOL user.

Update your system, put up a firewall and antivirus.

It's not hard.

Three tools to keep clean these days.

Computer Associates online virus scanner
CWShredder
Spybot

When your computer is clean and your W.i.n.d.o.w.s.XX is updated (all criticals), you
don't need software firewalls and virus checkers. VCs and FWs slow down your
computer and if you don't click on email attachments and scan pirate software
before you click on it then you don't get infected.
